Course Curriculum Overview

3

It covers important subjects like Food Chemistry, Food Microbiology, Processing, Preservation, Packaging and Food Safety. Good balance of theory + practicals,Also prepares well for higher studies like MSc Food Technology, Food Science, Nutrition or Biotechnology. Two exams per year end-semester plus small internal tests and assignments. First-year exams are moderate, final-year exams slightly more difficult due to application-based questions.

Placement Experience

4

3rd year students become eligible for campus placements , i don't know the companies names because Im first year of this clg. Highest package is 1,60,000 per month and lowest package is 15,000 per month. About 65% of students getting their placements My plan i simple to do a msc after completing degree

Fees and Financial Aid

My college yearly fees is one lakh sixty thousand, and this course is of three years so total fees of the course is four lakh eighty thousand. Registration fees is fixed thousand admission fees is also included in that, lab fees is also extra.

Campus Life

5

Large collection of books on food science, microbiology, chemistry, plus access to online journals,Easy to borrow books digital library available, Smart classrooms with projectors, Wi-Fi, audio systems, and well-ventilated seating. Labs are equipped for food analysis and processing practicals. Facilities include cricket ground, basketball court, gym, indoor games. Activities like dance, drama, photography, and cultural clubs.

Admission

I only applied to this college, i did not applied for that colleges. I also like this college for Strong lab facilities Better faculty-student ratio and Good feedback from seniors, they said it is Safer and more organised campus

Faculty

2

The faculty to student rato is 1:15 - 1:20. Approachablility of faculty is Better when ratio is low, office hours mainly. Number of exams per year, 2 main exam sessions + perhaps one supplementary Marking scheme Internal + external. e.g. 30% internal + 70% external. Failure/backlog rate 15-25% students may have backlog at end of year Curriculum relevance is Good

Night Life

5

Nightlife around my college is fairly calm but enjoyable. Inside the campus, most facilities close early — the gym shuts by 8:00 PM, the main cafeteria closes around 7:30 PM, and the library shuts at 7:00 PM. Public seating areas and study zones stay open till 9:00 PM, so many students sit there for group discussions or casual chats. The hostel has fixed timings: entry deadline is 9:30 PM for girls and 10:00 PM for boys, and the campus gates close around the same time, which keeps the atmosphere safe and disciplined.

I think in the government University there was less opportunity for placements because the college dod not pay money for placements to approach them. But some placements was came and give the intership for the students as per the written exam for their company.I think starting 75 percent is required for the placements.
