What Students Say
Likes
- The one thing I love most about college the college is its infrastructure. The campus is huge and you can just walk around with your friends enjoying life.
- For social interactions, a number of clubs are everyday active and would always make you feel included.
- The course curriculum would help you a lot for personal and professional development and boost your confidence a lot.
Dislikes
- Some of the old faculties are non co operative and rigid for no reason. They take attendance irregular as per their wish.
- The placements for computer branches are getting low each year.
- The location of the college is little outside the city and the girls hostel curfew time is 8:30 pm
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is good, it includes every neecssary subject that needs to be used in real world applications. My only suggestion would be to increase the practical labs, and focus much on practical training than just theory.
Internships Opportunities
internships are available for 3rd year students for core branches, meanwhile cs/it students would have to work a little harder to search for internship opportunities themselves. You're open to do any internships under your domain by just getting an NOC signed by the HOD of department.
Placement Experience
In 7th sem, you're eligible for placemnets. Companies like IBM, Mini orange, Josh, are regulars for placement drives. This year for cs/it students, deloitte also came. The placements for the core branches are good, little recession for cs/it students, but the placement ratios are increasing every year.
Fees and Financial Aid
RTU fees for 2025 was Rs 1.2 lakhs to 4 lakhs across all courses. I study in Information technology branch and the fee structure for CS or IT branch is 2.9 lakh rupees. The hosetl fee for hostelites would be around rs 45000 to 48000. The caution money is Rs 7,500. Development fee every semester is Rs 2,500. The first sem fee is 45000rs and from 2nd to 8th sem, it is 35000rs.
Campus Life
The overall experience is nice. Campus life is pretty peaceful, with lesser exam pressure. For socialising theclubs are quite active and you can participate in any events of any clubs. You need not to belong to the club for attending events or meet, the clubs are truly open for all. The infrastructure of college is great, with huge campus having bb court, football ground, cricket ground, gym etc.
Admission
I applied to many colleges and got eligible very easily but one thing that i liked about rtu was that the number of student intake was quite less, this encouraged placements. Rtu is a 3 tier college, which had been very reputed for decades, It's earlier name was Engineering college kota, you can search for its reviews.
Faculty
Some of the faculties that are new are quite approachable and sweet. A fewer are strict , who are also strict about giving marks and tough exam questions, but overall you will get an average result dont worry. Best faculty is SD Purohit sir, who teaches mathematics, he is very cooperating and helpful. The two midsems are like average tough and the endsems could be cleared by studying pyqs.
Night Life
The in time for girls hostel is 8:30pm, so for girls there's no nightlife but for boys, there are no restrictions, you can live fully as however you want. The fav hangout spot for everyone is either canteen area or aghora garden where you can just spend hours in peace with no restrictions.
