What Students Say
Likes
- The infrastructure structure and facilities are soo goodand it also has library which is very helpful for students and have good air conditioning in the classrooms and the class room are spacious
- The lectures are very helpful and experienced and college provides internship opportunities for every student from the very beginning of the year
- My colleague timings are from 9 to 1:30 in afternoon which is half day and has 5 periods
Dislikes
- There will be less Events for the students and there are no extra curricular activities and clubs to join for the students
- The placements are not so good, the average package is just 2 lpa which is not worth
- The quality of social interactions is also very less and I feel that my college should improve placement opportunities and introduce different clubs for students to pursue their intrests
Course Curriculum Overview
I mainly choose this course because of the experienced lectures and college also accept many foreign students so every student can have good interactions and the curriculum was good. I think the curriculum prepares well for the job because every student has to to do internships from the 1st years which automatically prepares us to jobs and my college also provides mba (pg program) to continue after bba.
Internships Opportunities
Every student will get an internship offer from the 1st years of college and they offer small roles like just the basic ones like preparing records, ensuring everything is going correctly and students have freedom to choose their internships on their own based on their skills and interests and the Internship provided by the college lasts for 45 days and every student must prepare a record of the intership that they will add some marks in the 2nd sem.
Placement Experience
Student are eligible for placement at the end of the academic year Some of the companies that offer placements are wipro, tcs, infosys and the placements are not so good. The highest package for bba is just 3lpa which is very low and minimum is 1lpa. The percentage of students getting placed is very low like 20 to 3o percent out of 100. My plan after studying bba is to pursue mba in a good b-school
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fee for bba in Andhra University is 1,50,000 and the if you want to stay in hostel, hostel fee is 3600 per month and 14000 should be deposited when you join the hostel on the first day and they will return 6000 when we leave the hostel. And along with these we have to pay our sen fee and other extra fee like registration for joining come upto 2k to 3k . And there will be no scholarship provided for any of the Indian students.every Indian student has to pay the full fee and my college give scholarships to foreign students.
Campus Life
They don't hels many fests. There will be fest only for freshers and farewell party and the conducted fests are not so good. The library contains various books related to our course and other knowledgeable books which is very helpful for the students. The facilities in the classrooms are soo good they provide a/c everydag and has a digital screen board and a white boards. The extra curricular activities provided by the college is very less and they don't have any clubs for the students to join. There are no social group, clubs or student portals
Hostel Facilities
The hostel fee is 3600 per month. The room has 5 people and they provide with bed and provide only one almarah of all the 5 people. The food was worth the money and registration for the hostel is to submit the joining letter of the college and should pay 14000 when joined at first like a deposit and 6000 will be returned when leaving the hostel.
Admission
I also applied bba in gitam school of business in visakhapatnam and I wrote an exam and gave a personal interview there. I got 79 percentage overall and i got seat in the college but the fee structure there is very high like for both hostel and tution fee . No i didn't got any rejection,I only dropped because of the high fee structure.
Faculty
The faculty here is very good and have soo much knowledge and experience which helps students a lot. They guide every student through the internships ,exams and everything. My favourite lecturer is vc rao who teaches internal business. His teaching very interesting and he not only teaches the things in syllabus but also teaches things from outside which helps students gain more knowledge and he is very knowledgeable. I don't have particular to lecturer that i dislike because most of the lectures that I've known are very experienced and supportive to the students. There are total of 6 sems in this 3 years of degree like 2 sems per years and before each sem there will be two mids. Mid exams are not so difficult and For sem exam I would rate 7 out 10 for difficultly and pass percentage is some what difficult.an average student can get around 5- 7 cgpa and the highest cgpa given till date was 8.5.
Interview Experience
Yes one had to give interview and gd in order to get admission in the college The gd they gave for my group is "is the india ready for electric vehicles" and coming to the interview they ask basic questions to test out communication skills and knowledge on Genral things I didn't prepare much for these ,I just read some online articles and watches some curret affairs videos and important days in history just the general things.
Night Life
Yes there is a gym facility, and have cafeterias. For girls hostel it will be closed at 7:30 pm and opens at 5:30 am and coming to college timings ,the college starts at 9am and ends at 1:30pm . The overall au campus is very big and have lot of greenery and hangout places for the students and I don't recommend to roam around night as it will be very dark and have lot of dogs at night.
Other Applied Colleges
GITAM School of Business | Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA]
