- The road to the backside of the college is dirty
Course Curriculum Overview
The one thing I like about the curriculum while choosing it is that I get save a person's life. The curriculum prepares you for real world application by having practical sessions during the class hours and they also have practical exams held by the University. The one thing that can be improved is that they can teach the students not only the upsides but also to cope with downfall. The exams are held every year and there are seperate theory and practical exams.
Internships Opportunities
After 2nd year you will get to go for clinical postings . It will be spread across about 5 department in that many hospitals and clinics. After the 4 year course, you will have mandatory internship for 6 months. By then, you want to submit projects and all.
Fees and Financial Aid
The first year, the college fee is a total of 124000, then it goes 97000 per year after that. Boys will get hostel facility only for the first year and girls will get facility throughout the duration of the course and the hostel and mess fee will be around 75000 per year. Lab,travel, library privileges etc. are included with the college fee.
Campus Life
There will be many programmes like sports, cultural, cricket tournament, football league, interns party, farewell party, fresher's party, etc. There is a good library containing the books required for reference. The college has an anatomy lab and a demo room equipped with the latest modalities required for studies.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel room is a shared one by 2-4 people. Each department has each floors to stay. The quality of the meal in hostel is average. Registering for the hostel can be done the same time during taking admission to college. I was a hostelite during 1st year and now I'm staying with my friends in a rented apartment. I'm staying a bit far from my college.
Admission
I didn't apply to other colleges. The one thing mainly I like about this college is that the fees are less compared to other colleges. The admission process to this college is that you have to pay 25000 out of the first sem fee in order to book a seat. It's better you score good marks in puc as there is a merit-based admission system.
Faculty
Exams are conducted under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences yearly. The faculty is very nice and gets stricts accordingly. The students who fail are low compared to other unis. The overall is that if you play nice, they will be nicer to you.
Night Life
There is a gym nearby the boys' hostel and they can go and return by 8.30. In my opinion roaming around karnataka at night isn't a good idea. The hostel provides outing on the weekend and Sundays and also public holidays so that the students can relax their mind.
