Course Curriculum Overview
BBA Curriculum is moderately relevant and covers core business subjects like marketing, HR, finance, etc which influenced my decision to pursue this course. Its builds the basic foundation for further studies like MBA or competitive exams. Exams occur twice a semester (internals+ finals). Improvements are needed in updating the syllabus with current industry standards.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are mostly college arranged and good. Tasks basically includes basic documentation, consumer handling, or market surveys. Local startups have been offering roles in social media handling, and administrative tasks for the skillful candidates.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semestee onwards. A few firms like HCL, and HDFC have visited, with limited offers made( 5-10 per batch) Highest package offered was arround 5 LPA and avg. is 1.8-2.4 LPA. About 30% students gets placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fee structure for the BBA program at my college is quite affordable in comparison to other colleges. Annual tution fees is 28k and this amount has remain unchanged. Regarding scholarships college does offer merit based scholarships. Students can apply during admission process or at the beginning of each academic year.
Campus Life
Annual fest " sanskriti " and tech event " techverse" are usually held in feb and November respectfully. Library has a basic range of textbooks mostly syllabus based. Classrooms are equipped with whiteboards and projectors. Sports faculties are limited. There indeed are few actuve clubs and student run portals.
Admission
I applied to a few reputaed institutions like Lucknow University and integral for BBA and also got a confirmed admission offer from SRMU. However i choose Microtek mainly due to it's affordable fee structure, knowledgeable academic environment and proximity to home. I didn't make it to LU due to high cutoff in the entrance exam. The admission process at Microtek was straightforward. It required minimum 50% in 12th grade( any stream) and no mandatory entrance exam. Admission process involved filling a form, document verification, and simple introductory. Most students preferred direct merit based entry and there were no fixed cutoffs so my overall admission process experience was smooth.
Faculty
Faculty members at Microtek college are generally well qualified and supportive. All professors have relevant academic and industry experience. They maintain the freindly attiutude with the students as well. Faculty to student ratio is approximately 1:40 ensuring decent individual attention. Faculty student relationship is generally very good. I particularly liked our director sir Mr Jai Mangal. Each semesters have 2 internal and one final exam. Exams are moderately difficult. On average 2-3% students struggle because of their own carelessness. The course curriculum is good and updated.
Interview Experience
I didn't face any kind of group discussion. There was a basic interview with where i was asked about my interest. Porcess was very simple and reliable. Overall procedure is was smooth and basic. I prepared by revising my 12th concepts
Night Life
Library and cafeteria generally closes by 6 PM. Hostel in time is 10 pm for boys 9 pm for girls. College is totally closed during night no place to hangout or anything. Locality is safe because it is situated inside the city.
