Course Curriculum Overview

4

Computer Science and Engineering is a high demand branch which is growing exponentially. The package in this branch is one of the highest. The tech industry have many job opportunities. The curriculam is quite good in here as per my experience. I chose this curriculam as this i had a keen interest in computers and technology. I like to create projects on my own like websites and apps. It gives you freedom to customize the product as per your needs. The jobs in tech pay you well if you are capable of it. It provides you ample of opportunities in real world.

Placement Experience

3

Students are eligible to sit in the placements from the 5th semester. Mass recruitment companies often visit our college during the placement seasons. The placements are mid and do not expect alot but atleast you would be placed if you have th required skill set here. Placement rate depends on the condition of the tech industry. If you are lucky and the job market is good then you have good chances of being placed. In recent times the job market is not that good so students are facing difficulties in getting placements. As i said it depends on your luck too. The highest package from our college was 1.2 cr but it was 3 years back that too when the job market was good but it was an off campus not on campus placement. In recent times the highest package is only 16 lakhs per annum by 3 students in our college. The average is still 3.5 lakhs per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure-> For my course(cse) in excellence, i have to pay about 90000 inr every year.On top of that if you opt for buses than you have to pay 16500 inr. Last year the bus fee was 15000 but it has incremented now.But the bus fee is only applicable to students who have computer science branch and not for others. Scholarship-> Talking about scholarship, students who have performed well in their jee score get a scholarship through TWS admission in councelling. Reserved category students get scholarship where they get 16000 inr scholarship. Other fee-> You have to pay 4000 for uniform. The exam form fee is also 1850 inr every sem which you have to pay inorder to sit in your exams.

Campus Life

3

We have a high vareity of clubs in lnct. The clubs vary from sports, dance, music, art, robotics, coding, fashion, singing, etc. The sports club helps you in playing national if you are good at it and eligible. Clubs members have to do club work in saturdays or when classes are not held. They have to maintain attendence also and are given relaxation in attendence if they perform well or go to represent the college in other college events. It gives a good platform to show your talents and interests.

Admission

See i chose lnct because it was the best option i could get by my jee rank. It is not a bad college i think and provides you a platform to work on. It may not be a tier 1 college but it does not mean you can not do well in your life. If you work hard enough than you can get a really good placement from here. Other options i had were tit, oriental, sirt,,etc. I did not choose these college because the average placement of these colloges is not that good. TIT have comparable placements but it had fees issues as the faculties put fine on you over silly things which then becomes irritating. So i chose lnct at the end as it was the best option for me after rgpv university.

Faculty

3

The faculty to students ratio is not that good as there are too many students and very less faculty. This creates an inbalance. In my class we have 80 students which is too much for the faculty to handle. Some faculty handle the students but not all are capable to do so. I think lnct should increase the faculty and classes so that the students can get a better experience of studying and grasp the concepts better. The exams here are divided into two parts mid sems and end sems. The mid sems are of 20 marks each subject. Whereas the end sem are of 70 marks. Mid sems are conducted two times in a sem and the best of two is taken as final. The end sem is conducted after full course comp, etion at the end of the semester.

Night Life

4

The college has its own gym, cafeterias and libraries which students can access till 9pm. The girls hostel is closed at 8pm and boys hostel is closed at 9 pm for students safety. Gym is accessible to every student. Also students can play sports in the ground like volley ball, cricket, football, etc. I am not from the hostel but my friends have told me their own experiences of nightlife in college. Students can roam anywhere inside the campus till 9 pm.

Course Curriculum Overview:

To be exact, the curriculum has to be improvised and structured properly for real-world needs. The structure is outdated, and the pattern is too. The industry-based learning is not being promoted at all, as per my observation. The timing for exams is not frequent, but the paper structure is the same as the old so very outdated for a growing economy like ours.

I have interest in biology so I chose biotechnology as my career option the demand of biotech expert are also increasing so I thought to choose this course. More experimental methods should be used for teaching more no. Of practicals should be done. Semester wise exams are taken 2 end semester exam in a year and 2 internal examination in every semester. The difficulty level of the examination is moderate.
