Course Curriculum Overview
The course carriculum is related to teaching the students in different educational institutions through different methods including play way method, psychological method, learning by doing, trail and learn method etc. However the course was of 2 years followed by an examination after completion of all practicals including Micro-teaching, Practice of Teaching, Social work etc. but now the course duration has been increased followed by semester vise examination.
College Events
A detailed calender of curricular and co-carricular activities are pasted on the college walls especially in prospectus. Essay writing competation, Music competition, racing, tours are some of the events celebrated in the college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is according the University of Kashmir fee releasement which was about 33000 at the end of the course in 2013 but when course duration was increased the fee structure was also doubled by university.
Fees and Financial Aid
I got a scholarship of Rs/ 19600 (RESERVED BACKWARD AREAS)at the end of course from the college approved by university of Kashmir While as the students of Open Merit got only Rs/ 6000. The college submitted the applications forms online for OPEN MERIT candidates while category candidates submitted the forms offline.
Campus Life
There is a well equipped lab of modern and new technologies applied in teaching learning process. The candidates are trained in labs. There is also a playground too where different types of games are played. Cricket os played by boys and while females enjoy badminton in the breakes. Cycle racing is also held in the college.
Hostel Facilities
I had opted a room on rent near the college but there is hostel facility in the college seperate for boys and girls. There is a separate room for security, cooks etc. Transport facility is also provided by the college for the candidates of adjecent areas.
Alumni/Alumna
Pass outs and senior students remain in contact only through documents and records available in the college but the top students of the college are enrolled in the College Memory Board with their total marks and percentage that the candidate gets in exams.
Admission
On the basis of merit, I got selected in the above mentioned college for a professional degree namely Bachlor of Education (2 years corse) in 2013. The Degree is related to teaching the students in educational institutions.
Faculty
There are many colleges in the state but Rehmat e Alam College is permanently affilated college with University of Kashmir. It is all due to great work and providing every type of facility to the pupil teachers. I too was highly impressed by the quality education provided by the college.
