What Students Say
Likes
- the faculty is good I'd say. don't expect that you'll be taught as you were in coaching institutes. in colleges you have to be dependent on yourself for studies.
- there's no ragging or anything like that and I'm not saying this on a surface level there's no "that kind of" ragging or bullying in our campus and literally everyone makes sure this doesn't happen with any student including the non teaching staffs.
Dislikes
- the mess food isn't something i can say any good about but then it's like every other mess you know about-
- the worst part is you will not be allowed to step outside the college campus for the first 6 months of your first year! YES you heard it right.
- THERE'S NO WIFI IN THE HOSTEL OR THE CAMPUS FOR STUDENTS.
Course Curriculum Overview
although our first year exams are only for 4 subjects, our college teaches us a few extra subjects in the first year itself in order to make us a little prepared for the second year subjects and that is a plus point.
Internships Opportunities
there's no stipend for interns in our college but the experience is good because the patient inflow is really nice.. i cannot describe the internship life much as i am a first year student but yes we see them everyday and they really work hard and as much i know they are satisfied with the experience..
Fees and Financial Aid
• the yearly tuition fee is 3,75,000. • the hostel fee is as follows- non ac room : 95,000 ac room: 1,10,000 • the exam fee is 25,000 which is to be paid once every year before the professional university exam. • AND there's no difference in fee for different categories as it is a private institute. the fee is same for everyone. • the college does not provide any scholarships for first year students but you may get scholarships after your first year on merit basis. • you may get a financial aid if you apply for it but that doesn't make much difference if you ask me it's almost the same so it's up to you then.. the fee structure previously was different. the fee got increased this very year and we are supposed to pay according to the new fee structure although our admission was done before the increment of fees :)
Campus Life
there's an yearly fest in addition to many small festivals.. the classrooms are really nice the lecture halls are very nice you'll love it and also the labs the infrastructure isn't something you'll complain about.
Hostel Facilities
the hostel is decent enough I'd say the most important part which most of the students worry about (including me) that is washroom or bathrooms.. there are more than enough washrooms in every floor so you'll never see something like getting in lines to take bath or something that never happens and also it's pretty clean if you ask me. the washroom wouldn't be an issue at all. there's water coolers in every floor. and your room will be cleaned every second day by the staff. there's a room sharing of two students and in every room you get two beds two tables alongwith two chairs and two different almirahs. there's no registration process of hostel you just need to visit the college and book a room if you want or you can directly choose any available room the day you arrive in the hostel.
Admission
the admission process is only through neet ug councelling there's no other way of admission. this college is easily the best dental college in u.p. if you ask the locals they'll tell you about it. for admission you need to clear neet ug first of all and then apply for councelling.. the cut-off varies year to year but if you score around 400 you'll be on the safe side I'd say.
Faculty
the faculty members are all really good at what they do and they are very helpful in all aspects. they are full of knowledge it's upto you if you want to consume as much as you can or not. in the first year there are 4 subjects that you'll have to sit for university exams: • anatomy • dental anatomy • physiology • biochemistry the exams aren't too difficult but if you're a person who opens the book the day before your paper; then I'm sorry to say but you're cooked :) it's quite near impossible to pass the exam then no matter how bright of a student you are.. but if you are someone who keeps tracks of academics the it's not very difficult to pass. it's all up to you..
Night Life
there's no gym in our campus there's a canteen and the food is good enough and also there's a nescafe there's a really nice ground where you can play whatever you want or just sit in the sun.. and there's a basketball court and a volleyball court. the in-time in 8 pm for both boys and girls and ig it's fine
