Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course of MBBS as lavish as it is , it's difficulty is on par with its name and fame , but because of the fact that the college curriculum is so well designed that it manages the real life problems seen by students such as difficulty remembering the subject as the year goes on , which is catered by carrying out multiple in between group activities and all .

Internships Opportunities

5

In the MBBS curriculum itself there is a necessary internship that has to be done after the completion of the final year of MBBS and in my college in comparison to other state medical Colleges has a very good stipend of about 25k or more which is increasing over the years

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly tution fees of the college is 25,000 for the first year , 18,800 for the 2nd , 18,800 for the third and 16,800 for the final year . Alongwith the final examination fees of 10,000 per year for final exams. The fees is subject to change according to the concerned department. The NRI students have to pay 1,10,000 rupees in one transaction during the admission. There is a concession for Sc category students also . There are scholarships for 1st , 2nd and 3rd rank holders.

Campus Life

4

My college apart from having such a good study environment also has good club enrollments by the students , they participate heavily in the clubs for they have interest in and have good enthusiasm for the same and not only by the students but by the faculty too

Admission

My college has a well established fame and is considered as the top medical colleges in India with it being in the heart of the city beautiful Chandigarh , it apart from its name actually put forth the things it is known for . My college has a very good working environment, good stipend as others , good further study options and opportunities.

Faculty

4

The faculty of our college is top notch and is highly qualified and are very cooperative and enthusiastic when it comes to teaching and making concepts and highly complicated topics into simply pured words. The faculty to student ratio is also very good and they are very approachable, we can ask doubts and questions after the class , in the department/OPD ,etc. as and when directed or convenient by them . Some faculties may not be as good as others but in overall conjuncture of the college , the faculties are very good . There are several internal examinations conducted throughout the year and at the end the final exam , with in between semester wise exams in some years not all. Those tests are of decent difficulty not too tough not too easy.

Night Life

5

As because my college is in Chandigarh it is surrounded by many clubs and party places of the night several cafes , clubs , restaurants etc. Which obviously are within the reach of about 15 mins from the college campus which makes them highly accessible

Course Curriculum Overview:

THERE ARE FOUR PROOFS IN THE COURSE OF MBBS AND ONE YEAR OF COMPULSORY ROTATORY INTERNSHIP THAT TAKES PLACE IN THE GOVERNMENT MEDICAL HOSPITAL. THE FACULTY INCLUDES THE DOCTORS WHO ARE WORKING IN THE HOSPITALS WHO ARE ALSO PROFESSORS HENCE THEY HAVE ALL THE UP-TO-DATE KNOWLEDGE THAT ONE NEEDS IN THE COURSE OF MBBS. THE ACADEMICS IN THIS COLLEGE IS REMARKABLE AND THERE IS GOOD CLINICAL EXPOSURE PROVIDED ONE IS INTERESTED. THE PRACTICAL LABS ARE WELL EQUIPPED AND THE LECTURE THEATRES AND THE OTHER INFRASTRUCTURE IS UP TO DATE WITH THE CHANGING NEEDS, SINCE ITS A GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL, THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DEARTH OF PATIENT LOAD HENCE ONE GETS TO SEE A LOT OF PATIENTS AND CASES IN THE SPAN ON 5 AND A HALF YEARS. THERE ARE BOTH BOARDS AS WELL AS COMPUTER TEACHING ACCORDING TO THE NEEDS OF THE TOPIC. THERE ARE REGULAR TESTS THAT ARE CONDUCTED AFTER A TOPIC GETS OVER THAT ARE ADDED TO THE INTERNAL ASSESSMENT AND THERE ARE PROFESSIONAL EXAMS CONDUCTED BOTH THEORY AND PRACTICAL ANNUALLY.
