Course Curriculum Overview

4

The Department of Civil Engineering has fascinated me since childhood. Now comes the college perspective due to which I have opted for this course in this college. The first reason is that the infrastructure of this college is just wow in terms of buildings and equipment present in the labs. They are just sufficient for any student who desires to be a civil engineer or an architect at a beginner level. The second reason is the DESIGN OF SYLLABUS and FLOW OF CURRICULUM The syllabus is designed to fulfill each and every aspect of the civil engineering field and thus respecting every corner of the domain of this field. The syllabus consists of every part for physical and digital domains which are required in the current world scenario.

Placement Experience

5

The placements are just complicated in my college as there are too much criteria for being eligible to sit into the on campus placement companies. The companies that arrive are mostly non MNC companies. Some of them are named as: WIPRO, INFOSYS, TCS(TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES). The highest package from my college was the off campus placement of CTC approximately INR 8000000. And the average package varies from INR 700000 to INR 1500000. The profiles demands students and applicants to be more professional.

Fees and Financial Aid

The detailed fee structure of my college for my course B.Tech Civil Engineering is as follows: Tution Fee: INR 120 per year. Admission Fee: INR 2600 Registration Fee: INR 2100 Examination Fee: INR 3700 per semester. INR 700 for SC/ST community Development Fee: INR 3200 per course. Lab Fee: NULL Also many fees are comparatively lesser for students belonging to sc/st community.

Campus Life

4

The first ever annual festival is termed as the Fresher's Party which is given to the newcoming juniors by their immediate seniors. And then all the festivals of the year are celebrated in the college with accurate enthusiasm.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel rooms are quite spacious and well structured. The locations are not dissapointing at all. Each room is equipped with good qualtiy furnitures alongwith separate cupboards and wardrobes which are enough for a student to keep their belongings.

Admission

I had applied to the various collleges in Bihar Engineering and was also eligible to other colleges than this one. Now comes the point that why did I chose this college over all those. The first most reason is infrastructure. the infrastructure is too good and fascinating to me and other students also. This college and the students give the bfamiliar feel here and we live like a family in this college. Seniors are also supporting ands well behaved and always ready for helping us whenever in problem or distress or while needing assistance.

Faculty

5

The faculty to student rtio is quite surprising in the positive way in my college. With approximately 1 faculty per 25 students. The Faculties are all good at teaching and many extra curriculur activities. The faculty to students relationships are very good and satisfactory at ground level also. Also the faculty of programming is also good at teaching and behaviour also. He is very supportive in nature and always willing to help us when we are in distress and problem. The most disliked faculty is the faculty of Physics as he is just boring at teaching and he is not insteresting at all. He just arrives in the class and starts writing at the board with minimal explanations. That is why I dislike him. Now comes the examination section. There are a total of 8 exams per semester for all 8 semseters. There are also mid-semesters prior to each semester examination.

Night Life

5

The most disturbing thing is the unavailabilty of Gymnasium in my college. The cafeteria is also aavailable but restricted to 5 PM which is the college hour after which it is unaccessible. The stuffs in the cafeteria is also not much engaging but limited to basic items like Samosa and soft-drinks. The Hostels are equipeed with good quality furnutures and a wifi facility. The outing time for hostelers are not restricted however said to be confined and contained inside during night hours. Outside the campus access is restricted post 10 PM after which only emergency cases are entertained.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Many big companies, like Amazon, Adobe, etc., It comes every year and offers a nice package to eligible students. Every year, nearly 50 companies pay a visit. CSE students got the maximum package and offers here, followed by ECE. The highest package in the 2021 year was 1.60 crore, which was an off-campus placement, but when we talk about on-campus placement, the maximum package was also 42 lakhs. The average salary is ten lakhs. Almost all CSE students got placed this year. The CSE and ECE placements are really excellent here. But there are few placements in core branches.

Tech Mahindra, L&T, Google, and many more companies offer internships with stipends during their learning months. Projects are to be completed before final exams because according to the projects final semesters marks are given and externals give marks on their performance and hire each graduate. At 7 the semester college students are eligible for placements here. Some placed after that and at the ultimate, nearly many students positioned at the precise package.

Placement Experience:

By far, 3rd-year students sit in drives and placements. But from this year 2nd year is to doing good and planning for internship and various pre-placement offers. Last year, the Highest package was given to 3rd (now 4th) year student of 15 Lac per annum from Cisco. Other few students are placed in Capgemini and all. The average package is 4 lac per annum. only half of the students sit in placement as most of them are inclined towards higher studies or Government jobs so even if they receive offers, they reject it. I want to be an IPS officer just after passing my college in 2023. Apart from this, I want to work too in MNC as a cyber security specialist in Software developer.
