Course Curriculum Overview

3

I was interested in software engineering, that's the reason I chose this course The curriculum doesn't prepare the students from real world applications The faculty must start to teach out of the syllabus Sometimes the exams are held one by one, that feels so hectic in times

Internships Opportunities

3

There aren't many internship opportunities given by the college, most the students opt for internships on their own, outside the campus. One of the project in internship is trading automation, which is used for trading in stock market

Placement Experience

3

From the 6th semester the students become eligible for placements Many renowned companies like cognizant, tata consultancy services and Deloitte offer placements for the students The highest package was 25lpa and the average package is 3lpa 30-40% of the students get placed

Fees and Financial Aid

1,20,000 tuition fee and a total amount of 3,25,000 donation for management quota Admission fee is 10000/- My friend is from ST category and just pays 2,500 per year Most of the students get reimbursement from the government The students from government social welfare organisations get 100% fee scholarship from the government

Campus Life

3

Brumous fiesta There are wide range of books available in the library There are projectors and screens available in the classrooms Sports competitions are held every year Many students run clubs and social groups but none of them are much effective

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel room contains 3 beds for 3 students and tables and chairs for studying The rooms and bathrooms are well maintained and cleaned regularly The hostel mess food is pretty decent The hostel fees feels affordable for the given facilities

Admission

I was told that this college is pretty decent in this tier and depending on its affordability I didn't go to other colleges because of the high fees The admissions are given to students based on their intermediate merit

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio may be like 1:50 Relationship between students and faculty depends on individuals I liked arulmozhi mam, because she understands everything from student's POV There are 8 semesters in total And each semester contains 2 mid term examinations, 2 internal lab examination, 1 external lab examination and one semester exam.

Night Life

4

The gym stands open from 6am to 7:30am in the morning and 4:30pm to 7pm in the evening The hostel closes by 9:30pm Many cafetarias are there inside the campus like istara, refuel junction and food factory

Placement Experience:

From 4th year 1st semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. About 10-15 companies visited our college with minimum 3 lpa. And only 30% of students are placed in the campus placement. Companies like virtuza, movate, cognizant, hcl visited our campus for placement. The highest package was 4.5 lpa and lowest was 2.8 . My plans after getting degree is work in a reputed mnc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am very Passionate about Computer Science. So I joined Information Technology which is the same as CSE. Information technology mostly offers the same opportunities as CSE in VNRVJIET. So, I preferred IT in VNRVJIET. In VNRVJIET, Hyderabad faculty: student ratio is approx 1:40 which is considered as Average ratio. Most of the Faculty are PHD Graduates but there are less number of Professors. Mostly there are Assistant Professors whose Teaching Methodology is average to Good but not rated as Better in terms of Teaching. Professors are good at Teaching but Some Assistant Professors are not as good as we expected. There are mostly newly joined PHD faculty members were there who will teach in a slow manner. Every 5-6 months we have Semester Exams which are mostly easy to pass if we have somewhat knowledge of the subject.
