- the parking area is in the backyard which is too long to go.
- according to the student strength the buses are not enough
- the classrooms can be better in terms of ventilation and sound proof facility
Course Curriculum Overview
The very most specific aspect that made me choose this course BBSC nursing is that this course is professionally very safe for girls and this degree is dominating on other courses such as the GNM, PBSC nusring. the curriculum almost prepare us for the real time professional approaches through the clinical postings and the 6 month internship in the attached hospital under the strict supervision of clinical instructors the teaching methods can improve on major scale as they are weak at present. The teachers are very casual and teach only the specific standard course, they dont usually include anything out of course or the critical thinking level knowledge. the practice classroom tests need t be taken twice a month to keep the students upto knowledge and prepared.
Internships Opportunities
the internship of 6months, we have all main subject-wise posting for example, we have OBGY internship in gynac wards and community internsips in community area belpura. this internship is not at all paid or stiphened. if we fail to do the internsip we have to do the compensation duties for the completion of specified hours. during internships we dont have to do any assignments but just have to practice our skills
Fees and Financial Aid
the yearly college fees for BSc nursing was Rs 110000 in 2020 but now it has been decreased to 85000. I applied for this college through NNET UG counselling in 2020 but since i was eligible for the scholarship i didnt had to pay anything to college. my fees was all come under the scholarship except i had given DD of Rs 50000 to the college at the time of admission. we have to pay for the university examination only per yearly which includes the tution fees. At the time of final year exams registration, we have to pay for exam plus the fees of course completion and convocation ceremony too, nearly Rs 9600. We dont have to pay for the internship, library or anything except for small curriculum functions we have to contribute a little. our college offer all types of scholarships and facilities such as play ground, parking station, buses, hostel and library too. it participates for the SNA elections also. Non scholarship students have to pay the total fees of Rs 110000 along with tution fees RS 1500 and the yearly exam form fees. The management quota students have to give the donation fees depending upon the number of admissions and also they cant apply for the scholarships. instead, college offer them some leran and earn facilities to ease them financially.
Campus Life
Two fucntions named - cultural program is held every year by and for the students. it comprises of a whole week and rewards students for winning. otherwise some festivals that are medical level and state level and also the religios program such as shivaji jayanti. Only the books related to nursing are available in the library. no other magazines and journals or novels are there in the library to read. the classrooms are now made technically efficient through the introduction of smart boards and projectors. but mostly only chalk and board is used. college and state level sports are arranged in the college in various curriculum programs. also the university level sports is organized once a year in which students from various colleges participate only a student level SNA COMMITTE is there which is a student organisation. every year one head member is elected and other members are also elected by voting system.
Admission
actually i got this college through the cunselling rounds so this was my only option as i didnt gave the CET exam so couldnt apply to any other college at my time. but frtunately this was good As compared to other many colleges for nursing, my college was good as it offers a big advantage of its attachment with the hospital to practice. most other colleges dont have this aided hospital facility so they have to pay externally for the clinical postings of students which mostly are located away from their colleges. NEET UG exam was the eligibility for admission at my time but now it is MH-CET exam. we have to apply through the cunselling rounds to get a seat in the college and then they give you the provisional apllication letter of the college in which you are selected. you have to take all the documents and DD form to college to confirm the admission. cutt off for this college is not too high for this college and it varies every year. at my time i scord 272 marks in neet n got this college.
Faculty
The faculty is enough as per the student ratio. the teachers shows little favorism but overall teachers are good. teachers and faculty are approachable to students from 9 to 4 pm. except the principal remains busy. Miss Minal mam and Jaya mam were my best teachers . They are from OBGY department and teaches us the best. Also they supports students and are very friendly. otherwise MSN department faculty is also good. I dont like to take names but community health nursing faculty was just not good. they use to torture students and also dont focus on teaching. students have to self study most of the syllabus. i was from annual pattern so in a year we had to give three main exams that affect student performance i.e. mid-term exam, pre-final exam, and final exam all along with the practical exams. the mid term and pre final is the college level exams and the final exam is conducted by the MUHS nashik university. in first year the failing student % is more but it decreases from next year onwords. 50% students always pass. the curriculum is well structured and covers everything but the student welfare programmes are very less conducted. the trips and fucntions are not funded by the college at all.
Night Life
The college do not have its own canteen. but during day there is a small canteen beside college where we go and hangout. at night there in no contact with college. we go and hangout in the food stalls and cafes in the city areas. the city closes off at 8-9pm ad after that only few shops are open barely. college campus timing is 9-5 pm only. and the hostel night closing time is 10pm but most student lives on rent in nearby area. the amravati city is safe till 12 at night. we can roam around and go for the walk. my favourite spots are the paani puri stalls in gadge nagar and dominos in same gadge nagar which is nearby college.
