Remarks

The college management was good during my days and I don't know how it is now.

3.5

There are several events conducted between specific period of time. Some of the events are Culutrals at the end of the each year, Womania on the women's day only for girls, Symposiums for every departments and other than that some specific events within the departments.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is common for all the colleges affilated to Anna university. The fees structure is Rs. 40000 during each of my academic year. This fees is for the students who have got admitted through counselling. The fees will be differ for the management seats.

Fees and Financial Aid

I did not opted for education loan, but I have got a scholarship for the community and the merit in my 12th standard. The college management have helped to avail the scholarship.

Campus Life

4.5

We got an excellent campus life in this college. The gender ratio differs according to the departments while in mechanical boys ratio will be high and in ECE, IT departments the girl ratio will be high. There are number of extra curricular activities and number of sports available.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is not so established. Whenever an alumni visits the department, the department arranges a convo with the student.

I got 88.67% in 12th standard and 177.75 cutoff marks based on the marks in maths, physics, chemistry. By applying this mark to Anna university, I got a call letter for counselling and I got the admission in this college. Then, by paying the actual fees for the college I got admitted there.

Placement Experience:

B.tech students will be eligible after they complete their credits before the 3rd year and usually that is the period during which they will be eligible for placements. For integrated M.tech it might be after the 4th year in 5th year, they could get a year for internships which is good for students. This might be considered as my interest in this course. The placement is around 95 percent. My plans after getting the degree is to become a highly skilled person and to get a job in google. Many companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Qualcomm, etc place our campus. There are no such companies that visited and made no offers.

Placement Experience:

In my college placement start from 7th semester, students get eligible to sit in drives. Many companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some core firms visited and gave good no of offers. Highest package was around 10 LPA and average near 4.5 LPA depending on profile, mostly software dev, testing and few core engineer role. Around 70% students got placed last year, rest go for higher studies or other prep. My plan after finishing degree is to first try campus offer then aim for higher studies if I not satisfied. Overall placement is decent but still more core companies should come.

Course Curriculum Overview:

ECE is a core subject in the upcoming technologies like the semiconductor field etc. which is why I chose this branch. VIT has a lot of labs and equipment that enables a person to learn and grasp practical knowledge faster. The teaching methods include using a PPT and using a white board . Sometimes flip classes are done when students explain topics. The 2nd open book test is the toughest in difficulty level when compared to exam 1 and the final test.
