Remarks
The college is good for graduate studies with a lot of facilities such a cafeteria, parking lot, gym, library, labs, grounds, etc. It is rated among top 10 colleges in Gujarat and is pretty well known among Ahemdabadis.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is pretty vast and diversified. You get to learn about a variety of topics with practical experience and workshops. The course is divided into various modules and each module is taught carefully.
Internships Opportunities
The college does provide internships but you can choose your own internships if you want. I didn't opt for the internships they provided but according to my classmates they got to learn a lot. The internships provided hand on experience which help them out in the corporate world.
Placement Experience
There is a placement cell that helps students prepare for jobs if they plan on taking them up after graduation, they even invite corporates to provide placements. The students are given a choice whether they want to opt for placements or not and if they opt for it then the placement cell helps them out.
College Events
The college celebrates a lot of festivals and other academical and cultural events. These events give the students a chance to flaunt their artistic and academical talents. These events are open for all to participate in and thus give everyone an equal platform to stand out upon.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is quite affordable. The fees is payable per semester, and amounts to a maximum of 17k. The cost of the books and the hostel charges are not included in this. But overall if you're looking for a budget college with quality education, NRIBA is a good choice.
Fees and Financial Aid
I don't know of any scholarships as such provided by our college, neither have I availed any. Students usually don't need a scholarship as the fee structure is not that expensive. Most people can afford it pretty easily, those who can't usually work part-time jobs and those are more than enough.
Campus Life
There is a debate club, and a lot of students play football and cricket. There is even a gym for the students to workout in which is right beside the main campus. There is a dance society as well who practice all year long. These extracurricular activities make campus life more interesting for students.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel opened up after I graduated so I haven't seen it but the building looks quite nice and it's very near to the college and at a safe and convenient location. When I was at college everyone usually stayed at nearby pgs or flats as those were the only options available, but they were pretty nice.
Alumni/Alumna
If you get in touch with the ex alumnus they are often really helpful and provide good reviews on the professors and how to deal with assignments, exams, projects, placements etc. Thus I'd say they are pretty helpful. They'll even help you in suggesting which pgs are good to live in.
Exam Structure
There are 3 exams per semester. One is a 25 mark short exam called a quiz, followed by a mid-semester exam of 70 marks, and then an end-semester exam which is of 100 marks. Apart from these the students are also assessed on their attendance, assignments, practicals, and projects.
Admission
I got direct admission based on my 12th merit since I took admission into the college a month late due to some personal problems. If you have a good score in your 12th boards then getting admission won't be a problem. You just have to meet the chairman and he'll get you in.
Faculty
The faculty is pretty helpful and knowledgeable. They'll help you out with whatever problems you are facing. They are not always available because of their busy schedules but they'll surely give you a particular time if you want extra lectures or help.
