Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose this course cos there are very good placements when I started this course. The curriculum provides good subject knowledge. however as for practical knowledge it depends on Students deciding the project and how they do it. Teachers can give more practical knowledge and use cases in the classes. Mid exams are conducted once in 1.5 months which are moderate.

Placement Experience

3

From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements if there are no backlogs. There are nearly 4k students applied for placements . Out of that 300 students got placed in super dream and dream offers. These offers are from Amazon, Honeywell , Deloitte and many more. And nearly 500 students placed in regular companies like TCS , Cognizant and Infosys. And there still placements going on this year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The admission can be taken by writing VITEEE exam and AP EAPCET exam (only for AP Students). For those who joined by VITEEE exam the fee will be 3lakh per annum and for AP EAPCET students it is 70k per year. Caution fee is 5k . Admission fee is 10k. And for students of AP EAPCET belonging to OBC, EWS,SC and ST category there is a scholarship for tuition fee which govt provides.

Campus Life

2

There are mainly two annual events in this university. One is tech fest VTapp and other fest if Vitopia. And there are some Events which are held weekly only if there are no exams in that period. Students who are in clubs actively conducts these events. Library seating capacity is very less. Accessibility of books is same as the seating. Classroom facilities are good. Participation of students in sport activities is very less.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel fee is worthy of the amount we pay. However 5 bedded rooms are somewhat less spacious. There is good wifi. Cot, study table, study lights, shelf are available. Though there are many items in the menu, but the taste of the food is not that good.

Admission

I applied to Andhra University and JNTUK. My EAPCET rank is 3732 which is not sufficient to get seat in my required course. So I applied for this university to get my required course. Also as this is the branch of VIT, and it is top most private university in India I choose VIT-AP. Admission can be done by taking VITEEE exam and AP EAPCET exam. Students from AP mostly prefer AP EAPCET as there is a scholarship for students joined through this. The cut off rank is 12k for AP EAPCET.

Faculty

3

The ratio of faculty to student ratio is less. It depends on students how they use their teachers. Cos Teachers don't take initiative to interact with students after the classes. Nilanjana Ghosal - she is a very good english teacher. Her classes are very interactive when compared to others. There are many other teachers who are very strict inside the classroom. There are 2 mid exams and 1 sem exam. mid exams are very easy when compared to sem exams. Out of 60 , 2 to 3 people fails every sem on an average.

Night Life

2

Favourite hangout spot is Amphitheatre in the campus. The cafeterias and others are very crowded. Students are allowed roam inside the campus till 8 o clock. There's no much night life in this campus. There are strict rules to go outside the campus.
