Course Curriculum Overview

3

Some aspects such as dna or cancer researches or vaccine developments made me choose this course especially after Covid. This curriculum indeed prepares you for entering industries however some extra online courses are needed to order to keep yourself updated with new technologies . Perhaps they could focus on practical teaching more than classroom teaching. The examination is conducted each year in 2 semesters and difficulty level is mediocre to hard depending upon the paper

Internships Opportunities

2

The internship opportunities is worst in this college they made a placement cell group but they don't provi6us information regarding any internship. However once or twice they have offered us internship but that too from Accenture.. what will a science student do with an internship role in Accenture?

Placement Experience

1

From 6th semester the students are eligible for placements. Aiims etc have visited our campus. The placement cell is very poor ..in my knowledge the high package was 5 lpa and only 70% students were placed at low package. I plan to do masters on biotech after my degree

Fees and Financial Aid

For first year i have paid 1.10 lakhs and 75k from the consecutive year this is for students are of Karnataka .there's concession for students who are from Karnataka itself . No scholarships are provided however if your percentage of class 12 is good then there will be some concession from your 1st year fee

Campus Life

3

Fests such as cultural day or sankranti puja etc happens . There are some festivals relevant to each department like microbiology department has microfest and etc . Library is of great use . Each and every kind of books of every writer of genre is available. The technology within the classroom is nice they provide e learning through projector . Once a year you will have sports week . And some compitition for sports going around the corner the whole time .there is a rotary club for students

Admission

I have had applied to dayand sagar , kristu jayanti college , christ..and I was selected in all however I chose this college because a family friend of mine who happens to be guest lecturer and researcher suggested me this college. I haven't faced any rejection from any college. For taking admission u need to have 60% in your subjects in 12th ..fill the application form if your selected they will show he result in their portal after that u need to pay half the amount of your fees in order to confirm your seat .come to college at the given date and submit full amount and documents and start classes as per the routine .

Faculty

3

There's 2 faculty for each subject for 53 students . The relationship of Students with faculties is good however some are hard to contact with . One professor from mb department is extremely rude and arrogant I can't take her name . You can't even talk normally to her she will shout and even the faculties themselves are scared to talk to her ..they say she has undergone faculty development program however her behaviour remains the same .it's impossible to ask her to clear a doubt as she will shout unnecessarily and makes u down

Night Life

4

There's no night life inside the campus however outside it is quite great . There are many cafes in the new Bel road to hang out with your friends. Malls like orion are very near to it . Gyms are available such as cult fitness.hostels timings for girls is that from morning 6 to evening 8.30. some famous places outside college are- xero degrees , chinlungs restro, orion mall, iskcon temple , corner house ,milano etc

Other Applied Colleges

Ms ramaiah college of arts science and commerce | Bachelor of science in biotechnology and microbiology

The infrastructure is awful and placement opportunities are very less with low amount of package

Course Curriculum Overview:

Now the syllabus has changed. New emerging technologies trends and subjects are introduced in new curriculum. Data science, Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security are now taught. Practical marks are reduced to 50 marks. Term end examinations are conducted twice in a year. Exams are not that difficult. Usually previous year questions appear in the exams.

Placement Experience:

At St Aloysius University, students typically become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester onward. Reputed companies like Infosys, wipro, TCS etc have visited the campus offering multiple roles in IT services, research and analytics. The highest package has been around 7-8 LPA while the average has been around 3-4 LPA depending on the company and the profile of the student. Around 60-70% of eligible students secure placement each year

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate it around 8/10 for relevance and comprehensiveness. I chose this course because it offered solid foundational subjects that aligned with my interests. The curriculum prepares students well for higher studies and provides decent exposure to lab techniques. However, for real world readiness, it could be improved. Teaching methods are mostly theory-heavy and would benefit from interactive approaches. Exams are moderately difficult and conceptual clarity and regular revision helps in scoring well.

Placement Experience:

First of all, there isn't a passed out batch yet(as of 2025). The first batch enrolled in 2023 and they are currently in internship period as they've planned. Placement will be offered at the end of 4th year. Although for internships, around 50+ companies visited and 96% of students got internships. The average stipend was 30,000 INR and the highest stipend was 200,000 INR (non-domestic). My plans after getting the degree are to gain some experience and go for a masters in business if possible.

Placement Experience:

The placement scene in this college is promising, especially for students pursuing B.Sc and M.Sc programs. it has a dedicated placement and training cell that actively prepares students for the recruitment process by mock interviews. students become eligible for placements in final year. the top recruiting companies includde infosys, wipro, cognizant etc. On an average 50 to 60% of eligible students get placed with the remaining either pursuing higher education or looking for opportunities in civil service or elsewhere. My plans after my graduation is to pursue masters in forensic science in NFSU and then to work in the FSLs

Remarks:

Positive remarks: • The senior, junior, classmates are very helpful and cooperative. • The professors are also very helpful and concerned about our studies. Negative remarks: The authority is not so helpful. They take many steps against the students' sake and this is the main cause for decreasing the college's overall performance.
