What Students Say
Likes
- The campus is big for a college in Nellore, I loved the infrastructure.
- College timings were comfortable. It was from 9 am to 5pm for us.
- There were given many holidays and that too frequently.
Dislikes
- Some faculty are a bit problematic. They are difficult to deal with.
- A lot of time is wasted in college. About 60% of the classes are of no use for career.
- Not much emphasis on sports. Mugging up culture is common.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because this industry is rising and will continue to rise in the future. Computers and Internet is not something will stop in the near future. Course curriculum is not on par with industry's needs. Exams frequency is normal. Just like other cultures.
Placement Experience
Around 50% of the students were placed in my batch. Eventually after some time the remaining also managed to get into some or the other job. Mass recruiters come here mostly. They give 3LPA 4LPA jobs and hire students.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course fees for the one who got a rank in EAPCET was around ?70,000 per year. But now apparently it's reduced to around ?50,000 per year only. If one wants to join through managment quota, it is not worth it as the fees is over 1 lakh per year.
Campus Life
I was not the kind of person who would participate in extra curricular activities. But big events, fests were a bit rare excluding Freshers day and Farwells. Labs are decently equipped with good computers and internet and also ACs. There were many books in the library when I studied. Really useful.
Admission
I applied for this college through EAMCET, and I got a rank of around 30,000. I chose this college because it is nearby to my home. My parents also wanted me to join here, so I didn't have much choice. One can get into CSE if he gets a rank of 30,000 or below.
Faculty
Course syllabus/structure is outdated. It is far from industry's needs. The companies who hire the students provide their own training. The exams are a bit easier to pass now than when I was studying since the college has now become autonomous, the exams are being given from our own syllabus and provided questions only. Faculty are inexperienced with the industry.
Night Life
College has gym, but it's just for name sake. College is not open at night as far as I can remember. College has quite a few spots nearby for friends to hang out and eat. Like RR Family Dhaba. I wouldn't say it's safe to roam around near the college at night.
