Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum in my batch is the R23 JNTUA curriculum. The syllabus is fine, as in, it includes info about a few new real-world technologies. The teaching methods can be made better by making the students involved in activities like asking questions which make us THINK, REASON. Exams are really common here, we maybe get one-two weeks maximum before another exam session begins.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are not really that good. College provides a few for the namesake, like internship from Indian Servers, but they often prove to be not very useful. They are in most cases, unpaid, leaving the student unsatisfied.
Placement Experience
50 per cent (almost half) of the students are placed, according to the faculty. We are encouraged to learn new, latest technologies and skills to get placed, instead of just cramming bookish knowledge without understanding it fully. The average package is around 3-4 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
Through EAPCET, one can get an admission/seat in this college. In this way the fees are minimal, and it's worthwhile. I got 124xx rank in the EAPCET exam and selected this college, due to it being very near to my home. I have to pay RS 43700 for every year, which is also waived off if you can avail any schemes like JVD (Jagananna Vidya Deewana). So you can get a B.Tech Degree for dirt cheap (Around 10k). However, if one doesn't get a seat here through the exam, it is not worth studying by paying the hefty fees of more than 1-1.2 lakh per year (this figure excludes the donation money, which varies around 1 lakh+ and it is a one-time payment).
Campus Life
Campus life is decent, events are conducted every now and then (almost every month at least one event is conducted). The library has many books although most of them are outdated. Labs are equipped with internet, ACs. There are many student clubs as well. Green campus, with gardens etc.
Admission
This college is nearby to my home, As I also mentioned previously, I have got a rank of 124xx in EAPCET, but unfortunately, my parents did not agree to send me over to a college far-away from my home. That is the reason I got an admission here. Once you get allotted a seat in EAPCET, the rest of the admission process is fairly simple.
Faculty
We can approach faculty if we are confident and can ask them doubts even privately. There are experienced and knowledgeable faculty like Sujitha Madam, Sunil Sir (placement cell), Param Sivam Sir and a few more maybe whose names I don't remember. These faculty know their subject and what they teach, deeply. Exams are usually easy to pass since the questions are given from the material provided.
Night Life
The gym is straight-up bad. It's just there for the namesake. Locality might not be safe to roam around at night RR Dhaba is a famous place nearby to hang out and eat. Campus timings are 9.30 to 5.10 from 2nd year.
