Review of Government Engineering College Buxar

A semester should be of six months but it's hardly of 5 months so u get exams every two months including the Mid semester exam. The students should be given proper sem break and a break before exams to prepare. There should not be more than 2 clases a day

The Training and Placement cell is trying their best but there's not much scope of placement from this college as it has been recently shifted to a new location and it will take time however get an average placement of upto 3 to 4 LPA. My plans after getting the degree is to appear for government exams and Gate Exam.

The exam fee per semester for Gen/OBC is Rs.3750 The addmission fees for each year for Gen/OBC is Rs.2830 The exam fee per semester for SC/ST is Rs. 700 The addmission fees per semester for SC/ST is Rs. 2730 You can apply for all kind of scholarship like PMS , NPS ,etc

The facility for the library is very nice. The library is open till 7pm everyday starting from 10am except for Sundays. There are many Zonal and Inter College Sports festival taking place. We also have DJ night quite a few times which is really fun. We also got a lot of indoor games which is accessible 24*7 in our club room. There are different kinds of Clubs fomed in our college such as literature, art and culture, photography, sports,etc which organises different kinds of Events quite frequently. We also have our Instagram page run by social and Tech Club . It keeps us updated about every important news in our college and university.

The mess food of the hostel is below average. However the games and everything is pretty good. The cost is Rs. 60000 per year. The geysers are installed for hot water. You are provided with a chair, table and bed in your room.

I chose this college because it had ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING BRANCH rather than EEE branch. I also had an old friend of mine in the same college . To get addmission u have to appear for the JEE MAINS after 12th or BCECE LE exam after completing diploma in engineering.

There are 20 facilities per branch on an average. There are total of 5 branches in our college. There's an average of 40 students in a class or branch giving us a ratio of 2:1 However there are 60 seats each branch except for CSE with 120 seats The HOD of EE department is very friendly and supportive.

We have a library which is accessible till 7pm daily except for Sundays. The hostel has wifi , games room , badminton court. The mess serves food 4 times a day There are famous places like Ramrekha Ghat to visit.
