As a expected the college is too good, a perfect place for learning the physiotherapy course
The whole campus is calm and within the touch of nature.

Dislikes

There is nothing to dislike only the thing is we got less holidays
Once you entered here you've to follow the 75% attendance criteria otherwise that will impact on your university examinations

Course Curriculum Overview

Our course's focus is on clinical practice • Utilizing all the therapeutic equipments and modalities related to physiotherapy • Emphasis on evidence based practice • Diverse treatment approaches - manual therapy : mobilization, manipulation, stretching - Exercise therapy: Strength training, flexibility exercises, cardiovascular conditioning - Electrotherapy : Ultrasound, electrical stimulation, laser therapy - Neurological rehabilitation : Techniques for patients with stroke, spinal cord injury and other neurological conditions

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 145000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Our internship is of 6 month We get opportunity to complete this whole internship at MGM hospital and rehabilitation center Also each month few groups of students get clinical postings at Anandvan, Mumbai and kerala

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees is 145000 ? If you come under OBC you've to pay 57000? - 60000? per year remaining fees will be paid by government as a scholarship amount. For VJ/NT category fees is 12000? per year And for SC /SC student no fees the whole education is in freeship they've to pay 10000? as development fees at the time of admission only

Freshers party, Cultural event, sport days this are the main annualy held events And expect this mostly all the major days are celebrated like mother day, world stroke day, world heart day, etc Mental health awareness week Under NSS unit many social visit activities are also held And most highlighted event of college is AWARATHON RUN Running miles, spreading smiles

Admission

The 1st reason behind choosing this college was it is the top physiotherapy college in Maharashtra The teaching staff is good whole syllabus is covered here This college have well maintained hospital and OPD with goid patient flow We get to learn many more things and different clinical cases

Faculty

Firstly talking about the students each batch is of 60 students. Girls and boys ratio is 1:4 For each subject there are more than 5 teachers so we've plenty of teachers And the way of teaching of all the teachers is just perfect There are total 4 exams per year 1st is periodic assessment which is taken after 2 month of new year starts Other 2 for internal assessment terminal examination and preliminary examination The difficulty level is quiet hard And the final university exam held at the end of the year which decided whether you're promoted for next year or not

Night Life

Gym, canteen, library and ice cream parlour is available in the campus The in timing for hostel is morning 6:00 am to eve 8:00 pm For hanging out the cannaught place is nearest for fastfood shoppping The prozone mall is also on 15 min ride distance The locality is totally safe

The campus is amazing overall all facilities are available, 24/7 medical for college students including pharmacy
For hostellers good hostel room, cafeteria within the campus,gym, library,mart, canteens are available within the campus so the students doesn't have to go anywhere in emergency, daily mess for hostellers with good food including breakfast lunch din
Amazing atmosphere, cleaning within the peak, positive vibes, amazing teachers, regular classes and extracurricular activities are present

Dislikes

Nothing as such don't like just that the campus is very large and have to walk a lot
A bit longer duration of classes as we have classes from 9am to 4pm evening due to which students get a bit engaged in college doesn't get much time for self study

Placement Experience:

So the college offers 6month intership in the same or some other colleges or hospital to the student. After intership students get a bpth degree and dr. Before their name and suffix PT (physiotherapist)

Life at gsmc

Likes

It is a safe environment with lots of security in the campus. A lot of patients to get practice.
The campus is well built and huge with a number of canteens and hostel for those who wish to stay.
The different departments are well designed and faculty is very experienced.

Dislikes

The cleanliness is a bit not upto par as the locals and people who visit are not provided with proper place to stay.
The campus is slightly confusing as there are a lot of building and connections to other areas
The physiotherapy department is very outdated and requires a lot of newer equipment which is not available

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course and teaching is very upto standard and the amount of practice we get in the college is very good. It's an experience to be able to study in a college like that. If you are eager to learn, you learn a lot.

Good campus facilities like canteen, playground
Good patient flow and proper treatment in hospital
Separate hostel facility for boys and girls including laundry and mess with good quality food.

Dislikes

College duration is 8 hours that is 9 to 5 which is quite hectic and lengthy.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is interesting but bit tough, students need to study regularly and sincerely. Passing marks are 50%. Internship is compulsory for 6 months which provides some experience to students to apply knowledge to real world patients. 3 exams are conducted - Terms, preliminary and final exams

I think this field has scope for a future and we can easily have a job opportunity in this field I tell you the student ratio depends upon the college and my college has 10 seats in the hospital Teachers is doctors they can teach well. There is only one semester and direct finals exam the course 3 years and one year of internship

The course is based on the MUHS pattern and internal exams are conducted twice a year. The faculty-student ratio is around 1:20. The staff is highly qualified and everyone is a master's degree holder or PhD scholar. The University exam happens according to the MUHS timetable

Great patient exposure, way lot to learn

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because of my family. I had seen my grandfather go through this treatment earlier and made me curious to learn more about the same. The student ratio is around 45/50. Intake increase every year. The faculty is highly qualified and experienced. More focus is done on the clinical part. Recently research has opened a lot of doors for students. Various competitions are held on that basis. During our syllabus, we had termly exams. Which were comparatively difficult, since if an individual has not cleared the terminal as well as preliminary they are not eligible for the university exam. It can be because of marks or lack of attendance. So it is very important to be apt with both things.
