Course Curriculum Overview

5

Ayurveda is the ancient way of healing and treatment. Whenever I listened about ayurveda I always get attracted that the things which are stated by the modern science now are told my ayurveda 1000s of years ago . Ayurveda focuses on the prevention more than cure.ayurvedic granthas and samhita always attracted me towards it One more logical reason to choose ayurveda was that ayurveda required many reasearch based proofs to prove their principles such wide variety to reasearch is not required in modern science . As I want to make a solid carrier in research I choosen ayurveda. The complete curriculum of ayurveda bams is of 5.5 years which include 3 proffs each of 1.5 years and 1 year of compulsory internship According to new ncism curriculum. The new curriculum has very appreciable improvement as it includes more clinical exposure to students which is very much important to become a good practioner . Teaching methods that included by ncism was 3d animation presentation ppt group study self learning which is required to get aware of such large spectrum of medical syllabus ncism also included morden subjects and diagnostic techniques to the curriculum as a practioner we should have knowledge about everything The frequency of exams is quite good as every 1 to 1.5 months there will be an exam which improves your habbit to study.

Internships Opportunities

5

During my complete bams curriculum I will gat many chances to complete short term research programs like spark and make my own money other than this many private companies like Himalaya also give assistance to the students of my college to build up their own brand and improve skills The one year mandatory internship I have to complete in our hospital seth sakharam nemichand jain ayurvedic hospital solapur only during this I will get the fixed stipend of 18000 per month as per the present curriculum

Admission

As I also had applied for some private bams colleges which were under my cutoff range but the fee structure there were too much high which is total unaffordable to a middle class student also in a private college you will not get any stipend during your internship which is arround 18000 per month in my college. Other than this my college is a jain minority college and all the students belong from jain community here I get a good spiritual environment in my college and can celebrate every festival very joyfully here and got my batch mates as a second family of mine . I had applied for the counselling of aaccc and alloted this college in my first round and I approached here . For the admission In bams course all over the indiayou have to clear a national examination neet . The admission process of my college also was quite good as my teachers guided me very well here

Faculty

5

As there is the batch size of 60 per class there is approximately 300 ug students on approximately 30 teachers which is a quite good student teacher ratio. All the facilities of my college given me excellent experience till date .many of the facilities had completed their PhD and many are going to complete in recent years. All the teachers are really very very approachable and helpful . You will never feel any difficulty of contact them . They are very much friendly to students Some of my favourite faculties in my college are Dr Shilpa yerme mam from kriya shaarir department She is very friendly to the students and expert in her subject. She teaches the difficult topics of ayurved In easiest way .also she is my roll model as an ayurvedic student Dr Gayatri Deshpande mam from samhita department Also she is very kind and punctual and also she is a great ayurvedic practitioner and teacher No faculty in my college I did not liked every one is very much helpful. In every proff there will be 11 internal exams (9 periodics and 2 term end ) and one University exams Generally all the students passes the exam except 1 or 2 And many students of my colleges get distinction every year

Interview Experience

5

No the seats for addmission are Directly alloted through aaccc counselling or muhs counselling for Maharashtra domicile students .other than this there is nothing more process .the criteria of addmission is you should qualify neet examination and you should be the student of jain community

As an ambition of becoming a doctor and serving society, I opted for this course. faculty to student ratio is quite high with more than 6 professors per subject and about 10 for each department. qualification of faculty is minimum MD in the respective subject. timely exams are taken but if you study regularly no worries about getting passed with good marks.
