A look into Ansar womens College and Hostel

I would like to work in clinical field for psychology therefore considered choosing Msc Clinical Psychology eventhough the college do provide Msc in general Psychology as well The curriculum followed here from Calicut universiity..it is really vast and some portion do feel not needed.for clinical it would be better of focus was more or clinical and pychopathology. More focus needed portion only needed to be added in curriculum rather than a lot of history of fields and unnecessary theories which do not help in consultation field

I paid Rs 25,200/- as sem fee, and an extra Rs.6000/- as admission fee. The union and special here is 2.500. As for Psychology department the lap fee is Rs.1000/-. Sports and Cultural fee is Rs.1000/-. And the PTA fund to be paid is ?1000/-. During at the initial moment the total fee paid was ?36,700/- , this includes tution fee for only first semester + admission fee and others. For hosteller monthly fee is Rs.8,400/-. It includes Rs.2,600/- for hostel and Rs.5,800/- for mess fee. Plus an extra amount of Rs.?5000 for hostel establishment fee is to be paid as well. As of what i know , merit admissions and management admission paid the same amount except considering the fact that management admission need to pay all above fee plus fee for their second semester as well. The faculties are good, all PG classes have digital system for classes. For psychology classes exposure is low and no extra effort for practical studies are given. The infrastructure of the college are well built. Good management and services. Blazers are provided for teachers, office staffs, and other staffs as well, which shows uniformity and standard for the college. Students have uniforms which is modest and standard. The mess food is good compared to most other colleges. There is no much space for complaints for hostel food.

Even though college events and other celebrations are less here and less fun, college ambience is peaceful. Union day , Arts fest, sports day, Freshers day, Onam celebrations are some basic and must events here. The library is big and there good amount of books. There a lot of e-books available as well.to.to which you can have access too. Management is library is great.

U have beds at hostel. Mattress need to be bought from. If you plan to give Rs.3000/- extra u can have mattress , bucket , hangers, laundry basket etc. There is almerah with enough space in which u can keep clothes and book. Good meal and menu. Menu options include both vegetarian and non- vegeterian items. Lunch everyday is rice with. Most days u have sambar and chicken curries. Rice items are provided everday. Only 2 days for dinner u have chapati.

I chose this college as i got merit admission here. The travel is direct and its side by the road rather than being up hill and being far away from town area. I personally liked to study in women colleges so chose Ansar women College. I applied to Sree Naraya College Vatakara..and went for 2 weeks. The travel is really hard..road to college in very much uphill and not complete.its hard for people without vehicle to walk and reach there.the college timing is also until 4 pm

There is enough faculties for the number students in college and hostel. The faculty student relationship is good enough. The priclnciple Ms Fareeda is person friendly and approachable character.I personally like her. I do not want to specify with names of faculties..but staffs, 2 or 3 from ladies section in mess area seem to be rude. The general sem exam for university and internal exams from. College is there

No night life in college. Even for hostellers. After 5.30 , no hostellers are allowed to go out.. everyone needs to be back at hostel before 5.30. Gym is available for college and hostel students as well. Hostellers can have access to gym in the morning and and evening until 6.00. Cafeteria for college only accepts money in cash. There are about 10 items in cafeteria , these are food in quality and quantity. Campus is from 9.00 am to 3.30 pm
