- Here's a great advantage, smimer being a private college it had emence patient inflow , so it will be great learning experience and learning through a close clinicals . With the daily patient inflow of 2.5 thousand of patients per day !! It's insane
- The engagement would be less in extra curricular activities as compared. To your school days but here it's great . There's a positive interaction between out seniors and faculties and our home residents too
- The faculties are top notch here . With min experience of 15-20 years of teaching span . And master in their respective fields . Some of them are from clinicals and non- clinical branches .they are really helpful with studies and our personal concern
Dislikes
- The infrastructure is pretty lame for real. The campus is a bit crowded due to heavy pateint inflow . We literally have classes in parking lot for the 3 year . They are building a new blocks for students
- The exams taking structure is insane here but it's bearable . It has 2 internal , prelims and a university exam per year and assignment , postings and seminals too
- It's been 2 year joining mbbs , the personal and professional growth has been elevated for real . The personal development was great and it will be a phase of your life
Course Curriculum Overview
Ofcourse as I took biology after 10 th I had two options either I do mbbs or go with bsc .but i was good at studies and wanted to become doctor so I choose to do mbbs .and it's was tough choice for real but it made me where I am today! The curriculum of mbbs consists of a real time life experience of toughest exams every year . The amount of stress during makes u feels stronger and it made me prepare for future task . The frequency of exam are pretty similar with what we have learnt per year and semester . We need to give total 4 exams in total including out uni proffs
Internships Opportunities
The internship consists of 1 year after mbbs . In our college hospital.internship in various different departments in hospital such paediatric , medicine , obs gyn , surgery etc . The the great clinical exposure .
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fees for batch 23 was 7 lakh 65 thousand . We need to pay in two parts for whole year . With the installment of 3.5 lakhs . From 24 batch the fees has increased to 8.5 lakh approx . That too should be paid in two installments. For management its 19 lakh from upcoming batch per year . For sc / st students there Freeship card ( only for government quota ) and mysy scholarship for girls with income limit for 2.5 or less than that per year . Mysy covers about 6.5 lakh of fees for both government and management quota .
Campus Life
The annual function called thrill is placed here every year . Organized by our organizing committee of our college . It's a great experience . Generally it is held acc. To exams schedule of respective batches .it includes extracurricular activities such a music festival , dance performance , sports activities like badminton , cricket , and a live dj party too. The facility provided in classroom are a great sitting arrangement with a classroom capacity of over 300 students and ac too. Out college has cricket or garba ground ,a canteen , a message for separate girls and boys and a gym too. Our college runs various groups for music , photography , drama , dance ,book reading etc ..
Hostel Facilities
There are separate hostel for both boys and girls in campus only . The fees are 14 k per year and those who are getting free ship card scholarship they are paid for hostel fees too. . So that are total 4 floor each floor has two flats ( 1 bhk ) with all facilities of electricity and water supply The campus has 3 canteen . separate for girls and boys in their respective hostel building . The location here is not residencial do u won't get a decent pg or private hostel near campus . It's commercial area for textile business
Admission
As I got pretty good score in neet ug . I hoped that I would get selected in a gmers or semi government college in Gujarat but it didn't go as I planned . So I got selected for a private college . As the cutoff reached its peak in 2023 . The admission process consists of : first u need to see your name in n merit list then the merit list of college u got selected and u need to go the the admission block in college to confirm your admission . And u get your admission letter u need to report to the college committee
Faculty
The faculties to students ratio is 1:30 . We have a assigned faculty as per our roll no. Here . Faculties are free for any doubt solving . Our first year faculty named deepa gupta mam was very strict with the anatomy but she had the most experience in anatomy field . The og the sit whom we used to respect so much he literally made neuroanatomy so easily understandable to the us he literally used the draw diagram on board to help us understand . He drew really good . So let's talk about the course structure . It's a 5.5 year course . 4 year studies and a 1 year of internship in your college hospital . So per year there would be 4 exams . Internal 1 , internal , prelims and the uni proff exams of your university . We have veer narmad south gujarat university which constitutes about 8 college in south guj. Including gmers and gmc .
Night Life
The favourite hangout spot in our college would be college canteen for sure the food here is good too.there a huge central library consists of books more than 50k books . And it has multiple reading rooms for pg and ug separately . And it has ac too. There's a gym too in b block of college campus . The central library has timing of typing 9to 5. And reading room are open 27*7 for students and residents
