DPSRU review (majorly focused on BMLT course)

BMLT is a technical couse and suitable for students who are interested in a research and technical field in future. We learn from the basics of laboratory, it's decorum, Instruments we use, how to maintain cleanliness of our working space and ourselfs. By the semesters these basics are cleared and we get to have hands on experience in hospitals or clinics or local labs too to gain exposure. Exams of this couse are both theoretical including explain procedures principles and diagrams of everything including the labs and humans. practicals include experience to perform and interaction within our workspace.

Lal path labs, Radcliffe and Wipro offers internships with a minimum stipend of 30k/month. Usually pharmaceutical students get these opportunity through online or offline mode. Other couses gets placements in hospitals.

Our college provides great placements in Govt. Hospitals for internship such as GB Pant Hospital, Holly Family Hospital, Lady Hardinge Hospital and 2 more well known govt. hospitals. Our courseis a duration of 3 years making 6 semesters and we get placements in 5th semester.

Fee structure for OBC and Gerenal category is 90k Others - SC, ST fees is 30k yearly. Everything is included in this fee structure plus examination fees is 4k making ut 94k and 34k respectively in total.

So a college involves many great societies, including dance, music, art, literacy etc and 2 Non-government and non profitable organisation. Rotaract Club of DPSRU and Umeed A drop of Hope (NGO). All clubs provides greatt opportunity to built our Resume by providing LOR, certifications and awards. Our college also has DIIF - Placement Cell where events related to skill building and development are done. We have a student council team and NSS who keeps conducting conference within and outside the college. International Conference, Delhi police workshops, and basic medicos workshops everything is done.

First of all it's a government college and being the world's 3rd and India's 1st pharmaceutical college I decided to take admission in DPSRU. I choose BMLT due to my interest in research line and since there are vast opportunities for me open after completing this course if i change my mind in future. I got selected in many colleges but most were situated outside delhi so this became my only option.

Faculty of my course- BMLT is reallyy great! We feel like we are studying from our own parents only. They are supportive and friendly in nature. Not too cool but not too strict i would say. We have 2 sessional exams and one end semester. Sessionals both theory and practicals are checked and marked by our internal faculty only and semester are marked by the externals. Sessional marking scheme include- 20 marks in total with 5 question (4 compulsory and 1 choice) 5 marks each. Marks are given by the average of both the sessional held.

The hostel- both boys and girls consists of all facilities luke gym, cafeteria, lawn. College has a sports complex as well as a well structured library for everyone and it's open 24/7 with laptop facility. Hostel peeps usually walk around the campus before it's gate closing time ie. 9PM and the mother dairy booth is also open early morning to midnight for hostellers and guards. Famous place to hangout in our college is near the Animal House where testing on animals are done. We usually conduct small games and activities there. Outside college is near the colony park of Sector 5 and Saket Conplex.
