My college experience

My branch is computer science and reason for choosing this course is after COVID 19 and lockdown everything came under digitally. So computer is everywhere. However the curriculum prepares for exams only not for real life applications and the curriculum is being followed by RTU and is not updated by over a decade. The only method I can suggest to improve the course is start practicing every code on laptop instead of board. 2 hours is given for exams like midterm and practicals and 3 hours for main exams that is sufficient.

After 5th sem students are eligible for campus placements. There are so many companies that visit college like celebal technologies, TCS, teleperformance, monospace etc and many other companies locally from Jaipur. I think highest package according to me is 11 to 12 lpa but average placement offers are 5-6 lakhs. My plan is sorted after completing degree as if I land any company for job then i will continue job for 3-5 years for experience and later on i will go to business line.

Hostel fees are as follows: 95000 for 3 seater 120000 for 2 seater 135000 for 1 seater Which was slightly increased compared to last year As 95000 for 3 seater 105000 for 2 seater 120000 for 1 seater Fees is affordable as seen from the view of day scholars or students residing locally in jaipur as they additionally on transportation expenses.

There are certain events that held in college during the year like freshers for juniors, farewell for seniors, then sports events monthly. There are lot of books in the library and is available for all the field of students. But some are outdated. Every classroom has been under surveillance of camera. Overall sports and extracurricular activities are okay okay as if I talk about sports there is not any teacher particular for that. Some students run club named Natraj club especially for dance, singing and drama students.

There are no. Of beds in room according to how many seater you have chosen. One bathroom attached and hot facility in taps 24 hrs. Also ducting is provided in every room. Also drinking water facility on every floor and one washing machine in every hostel which is paid but affordable rates. Quality of meal is very good as some faculty resides in hostel only and they also take meal in mess. Registration process is along with admission process only. Back of college there are many pg for students

I got applied for skit as well as for Jecrc and two other govt colleges and I got confirmed admission from govt college bharatpur and 1 other college nearby gov but the reason I choose this college is distance as I live in ajmer and jaipur is just like 2-3 hours from my home. I got rejected from skit and jecrc because of low percentile in jee mains as well as low percentage in boards. There are 2 ways of admission in college one is through direct counselling and other is from REAP counselling.

There is one faculty in a class of 60 students. Teachers are very approachable and are very Frank to students. Overall all faculties are good particularly if i talk about Apoorva ma'am for DSA, pankaj sir for SE and Santosh sir for Oops now rashmi ma'am for maths, abhay sir for digital electronics, gautam sir for mechanical, gorishankar sir for civil etc. Typically there are two mid terms and practicals before final exams so overall 3 exams excluding practicals. Overall level of exams are good as most of the part is directly from notes and rest from last year papers.

There are two gym available for college students one for girls and one for boys. Both are situated under hostel premises and equipmens are good but lack of dumbbells. There is one canteen which is very good for its snacks and drinks. Library is good, large area to sit and is open daily by 5 pm only Sunday closing. Timings for hostellers to hang out from college is restricted to 10pm and also in campus as after 10pm college gates are closed as well as hostel gates. There are locally two three cafe near college best for hangouts and night life is safe as local residents and pg students also resides nearby.
