Course Curriculum Overview

The course combines the field of biology, chemistry and narrowing it with life science. The present curriculum followed is given by PCI - Pharmacy Council of India. This course helps in gaining knowledge in both medicine pharmacology and it's formulation

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 10000 per year

Placement Experience

The placements conducted in our college are from prestigious company but am not sure of the companies. The average package offered ranges from 2 to 3 lakhs as starters and the students of eigth semester are eligible for attending the placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for the first year is around 1000 and for the consecutive years the fees is around 3000 to 4000. Other than this students have to pay semester fees which varies depending upon the subject papers which average out to be 5000 to 6000

Campus Life

The infrastructure of the college is a thing which need to be focused in some areas while the college life in this institution is joyful and remarkable one gaining a lot of experiences. At the final year, the students of the final year conduct various programs including culturals and farewell.

Admission

My main aim was to join this college for this particular course and the other course was just an alternative. So nothing went wrong as I got my desired institution and the admission for this college is through counselling conducted by dme of Tamilnadu

Faculty

The course is a four year course with eight semesters. Each semesters have duration of 6 months and staffs conduct two internal assessment exams for evaluating internal marks along with your attendance.

Night Life

There is no gym near the college and the hostel timings for men is around 9.30pm from 5am and that of girls is 5am to 6.30pm. Since the college is situated in the central part of the Chennai city various Hangout places like beach mall are near.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Pharmacy is quite tough course in India but it has large scope in foreign countries and in India too like industries and owning your own medical shop in your area. In real world experience the course is quite doing well.And the exam timings are quite difficult and results are also where coming not informed.

The college placements varies based on the course opted by student . Jss claims to have 100% placement for masters course and average placements of bachelor's courses including an average placements of 4 lakhs . The college provides both off campus and on campus placement eligible for students of b pharm from 4th year (7th semester). And m pharm students of 2nd year are eligible to seek placements both off campus and on campus based on ones own interest . Company's conduct visual one to one interaction interview . And select students based upon their interaction. Also students are independent to opt for on or off campus placement based on their interest. My plans are to opt for on campus placement and also I'm seeking to go for abroad studies to amplify my knowledge and job opportunities since India comparably offers lesser opportunities than abroad nations . And also it's very helpful to complete masters degree to get greater opportunity and high wages jobs for future insurance .

I applied to all kerala govt colleges and some self finance colleges based on the ranking and most of the tamil nadu govt colleges. i got confirmed seat in amala institute of medical sciences in kerala. i chose this college based on affordability and patient exposure. admission procedure was conducted through national medical commission. both all india quota and state quota admissions are there. in my admission year, all india quota students witha mark range of 625- 635 in NEET exam was admitted in this college. in state general tamil nadu quota, a mark range of 515- 615 was admitted.
