Likes
- The college is near to both bus stand and railway station so the public transportation facilities are better and they even allow own vehicles which is good
- The faculties are really friendly and easily approachable and they guide and mentor us
- They introduced inter college clubs and they are conducting many events which is good
Dislikes
- The campus is really small and they have engineering college, womens college, MBA and Nest school in a single campus which makes this more occupied
- The fees we pay in management quota is not much reasonable
- The food inside the campus feels costlier and not much taste and quality
Course Curriculum Overview
My favourite professor Dr.Manikandan sir suggested this is the only course available when I came to this clg for admission and I joined this course They conduct IAT exams once in 3 to 4 weeks which we have enough time to prepare
Placement Experience
From 6th semester we will be eligible for the campus placement I tried zoho presidio and many more but only got offer from GK expertise The highest pakage i heard in my college is 9LPA and the average pakage is 2LPA 90 to 98 as they bring more BPO and 1LPA 2LPA companies Im planning to try off campus placements
Fees and Financial Aid
During my academic years the fees was 1,25,000 for management quota students for my department and for government quota students the fees was 55,000 and my college helps everyone in getting the scholarships available for them in every manner . But now the college got autonomous and the fee structure was changed drastically I heard that for management quota the fee is 2,25,000 which is quite really expensive for this college
Campus Life
They allow students in each department to conduct a department symposium every year and the college conducts annual day sports day etc The library is easily accessible Each classrooms have one projector They have ground which is common for all the students from engineering college womens college mba college nest school etc which is the worst They introduced club department wise which is good and they conduct events frequently
Admission
I got alpha engineering college in poonamalle in my counselling I got cse there when I visited that college the college has hardly 10 people I spotted and There is no HOD was available for the course I got there So I decided definitely not to join there and at that time my college MSEC is inside the city and near to my home so i visited this college and got admission here The admission process is simple that you bring all the original documents and submit it in the office room once you filled the application in this college
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is approximately 1:10 . The faculty are easily approachable and really friendly The faculty i like the most is siva sir and maya mam as they are friendly and supportive not only them all the faculties are friendly here They conduct 2 cycle tests named as IAT internal assessment tests and 1 model exam in every sem
Night Life
College has a gym which is not even opened for ayudha pooja to clean the cafeteria inside the campus feels not worth for the money because of the quantity and the taste library is allowed only during the college hours The only pus is as the college is inside the chennai The campus timings are 4:30 pm for day scholars after that they are not allowed inside the campus and for hostelers they are allowed to go out till 9:30 pm The famous hangout places outside the campus is tea boy sekar emporium etc etc in kodambakkam There is no such thing called night life here
