What Students Say
Likes
- Nice environment, lecturers are friendly, if you feel bored in classes you can let your teacher know about it and go out for a while, if we have any doubts at any point of time you can easily reach out to lecturers, they do not say no for it.
Dislikes
- Hygiene is less, they need to focus on it and also washrooms are to be cleaned regularly.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course was taken only 2 hours in a day. I suggest that should be atleast 5 to 6 hrs in a day. Instead of last minute huddles, extra classes this could be done. Teaching methods could be far better as per the generation changing even teaching style should be changed.
Placement Experience
From 3rd sem students were eligible for the college placement but there were only 2 or 3 companies which came to take interview and actual placement started from 5th sem where we wanted to pay 1200 rs for it as i was uanble to offer it at that time i dint attend any of the placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees in the 1st year b com was ? 40000 for both the sems, 2nd year it was about ?42000 and 3rd year was ? 45000. Also we were having extra courses to be taken in the college, for example online cpt courses for CA first level test, advance excel, Tally, Human resource management, finance course, Accounting courses. These courses are to be compulsarily opt by the students who join the college according to there interest. Also the course price will be from 10000 to 20000. We had few of the scholarships in the college mainly for Sc, St. If we pay 1000 rs for hall ticket, Sc st people were paying 150.
Campus Life
Programs were happening more offenly each and every indian festival they were celebrating in the college also ethnic wears yearly once and as it is a christian college, christmas celebration was happening very grandly.
Admission
I applied to christ university college but cut off percentage there was 92% for our batch but my score was 87% in 12th, so that i dint get selected to the christ university and then i applied to the Jyoti nivas college there cut off was 85% so i was selected and pursed my b. Com there.
Faculty
Overall faculty was very good. Sometimes teachers would get frustrated on us but also without considering those things they would be jovial with us. For 1 sem we used to have atleast 2 times of exams and also except that we were having calss tests.
Night Life
There was no gym in college but we had cafeteria , library, playing area. Not sure about the hostel timings because i was not in the hostel for my studies. Dj nights were happening and fests were happening that would be awesome nights.
