What Students Say

Likes

The college provides necessary events for the entertainment purpose of students. I haven't noticed the aspects which need to be improved here.
I usually participates in every events provided by the college for enjoying my campus life at it's best.
In case of placements and career advancements, there will be workshops & other events which provides a good knowledge to the students about their career.

Course Curriculum Overview

The college follows a well-designed structure of curriculum. This curriculum prepares you for real world applications & further academic pursuits. The exams are conducted in a perfect time with the correct difficulty level.

Class Size: 25Course Fees: INR 48000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Companies like Manappuram Finance, Catholic Syrian Bank , Federal Bank, Dhanlaxmi Bank, RAMCO, Decathlon, Reliance , Max Value, Muthoot fincorp, ESAF, Wipro are assuring interships and placements in this college.

Placement Experience

The college is providing a good placement assistance over the years . Around 80% of the students are getting placed to famous companies after their academics with a good salary package compared to others !

Fees and Financial Aid

I am a Bsc.cs student, courses like BSC.CS,BCA are having a fee around 48,000 yearly. Meanwhile in the commerce department, courses like B.Com,BBA are having a fee around 36,000 yearly. The students of both departments can participate in the Add-on courses, which assure more chances in getting placements ! These Add-on courses are additionally charged in your fee structures. And also there are several scholarships available here !

Campus Life

There are many events which are conducted by the college & sometimes by the students. The events can be related to festivals, exhibitions, college day,etc...The college initially charges an miscellaneous fee near 3,000 for conducting events at the best level.

Admission

Compared to other colleges in my list,Elims college of arts and science,Thrissur provided their best in categories like facilities ,placements, faculties and other factors which helps in the career advancement of the students.

Faculty

Faculties are friendly & supportive to the students throughout their academics. The college has provided enough number of faculties compared to the number of students. In case of Exams, rather than semester exams the college will be conducting series exams and projects for the internals.

Night Life

There are good places to hang-out & also GYM'S, Hostels, Cafterias, Libraries within 1km area. As the college is just 4-5 kms away from the town (Thrissur) . The city provides access to wide range of tourist spots, food spots & assures a safe roam at night time.

Other Applied Colleges

Prajyoti Niketan College Pudukad | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Computer Science)

Need more grades for that.

Naipunnya Institute of Management and Information Technology - [NIMIT] | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Computer Science)

Experiences so far

Likes

My experience at lissah has been mixing of challenges. Psychology depart has supportive teachers and classes is good
Campus is peaceful and it’s so greenery there are opportunities to take part in different academics
I also like that the psychology department has its own lab and practical exposure and Lissah is well known for psychology itself

Dislikes

I feel that there could be more programmes activities and opportunities for students to make college life
Location could feel like quiet and it’s not in town area
Those who prefer more active atmosphere I would not recommend here

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose bsc psychology because I was interested in understanding human behaviour. The curriculum covers different areas of psychology along with subjects such as major psychology minor statistics and physiology then English mdc . Since I am still in my first year I have only experienced the initial part of course

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

The college doesn't provide any pool options for swimming lessons
Teachers get changed every now and then this makes the continuity of the lessons very hard

Course Curriculum Overview:

The social service got my eyes on this course. The intention of creating the mentality of helping others by social service made me join the course. This course provides a great service towards the betterment of future and people in it.
