Course Curriculum Overview

3

1. The Detailed Statistics of the curriculum helped me In choosing agricultural engineering and the scope I had in my mind was also looking for an opportunity so I grabbed and applied for Btech Agricultural Engineering 2. The elective Curriculum are fantastic if you wanna compare it to the Real world applications and academic pursuits other than the pointless courses offered 3. The Main Complaint I have in teaching is that there aren't enough teachers for every teacher and the teacher teaches the same as he reads he doesn't even understand that subject but still he have to teach as there aren't any other faculty for our course and they shouldn't make our lectures proxy 4. The frequency is ok but they just say that you have to prepare whole syllabus and they haven't completed that yet

Internships Opportunities

5

I Completed a Internship offered by Britannia I have attended more than 3 internship from our university 1 was The National Agricultural training Centre in Hisaar it's a government centre and we learnt a lot about machineries that is actually an important aspect of you are pursuing engineering and technology At the start of 7th sem you have to make a minor project report and In the final semester you have to make it an actual working project for obtaining marks

Placement Experience

3

Students are Eligible after 6th Sem for campus placement offers There are many companies like niflux , hp , tcs , Deloitte, Aditya Birla and Dell The average package is of 5-6 Lpa and The highest package is of 22 lpa and The total companies visited are more than 2500 Mostly the average percentage is about 7.5-8 cgpa I plan To startup a concept regarding agricultural futurist

Fees and Financial Aid

In First Year I paid about 80000 for tution fees and 100000 for the hostel fee And vice versa till final year and the fee is increasing after every year Now in 2024 it is 150000(tution fees) and 125000(hostel fee) for new students The fee Structure for Nims University In Btech fields are like Tution Fees : 150000 , registration fee : 800 , Uniform fees : 5000 , Club Membership & id card Fee : 6100 , examination fee (per semester) : 8000 You will have to pay around 305000 for the first year and The while course fee would be 1130000 The Scholarship Structures are based on both Academic and State scholarship for eg Bihar :50% And Academic eg 80 percentage= 50% scholarship and 75-80 percentage= 25% Scholarship the scholarship is applied for 1 year only . My all batchmates paid the same amount of fee

Campus Life

5

There are Many Tech fest hackathon and The main annual event (Dhoom) takes place every year around March end and it's a sports and tech based event you can play every type of sport and You can also participate in tech events like Ppt and Robotics many more There are a wild range of books accessible for everyone the main part I like about the library is it's a 24 hr come and go library great for studying and reading or preparing for exams All the Classrooms are Air conditioned and They even have a projector in each classroom every floor has its water cooler and Gender oriented washroom There are many clubs in our university I am the vice president of eSports club I host events for students based on pc and mobile gaming competitions every club has its own events hosted by the President and vice President of the clubs

Hostel Facilities

4

There are 3 study tables 1 each and 3 chairs 3 sub tables for accesories and There are 3 single beds 1 aur conditioner and 3 seprate wardrobe alongside a Seprate Bathroom and toilet The Menu Is fine but the meal quality is very poor it's not value for money Registration for hostel is simple they will ask you while you enroll in the college

Admission

I applied to Parul University and I got selected but they were only offering bsc hons for the course and I wanted to pursuit btech in agricultural engineering and the only reason I choose nims University was because of availability of the course The admission process is through their various offices in different cities and their online portal the eligibility is above 50 percentage in 12th and they prefer Neet and Jee too as well as they choose direct admission and lateral too I guess if you just passed your 12 th you would still make it here and the overall admission process is very poor because they always full up students more than the seats available

Faculty

4

1 . There are very few faculties as per the students ratio but the faculties are very Frank and Mentoring for their students that is a plus point of having a mentor for each group of 10-15 people 2. Amit Sir from Agricultural Department he was our Hod in the 1-2nd year he left after that but having him as a faculty was a blessing for us he was more like a friend to us in times of need 3. Balaji Sir he used to teach us dairy technology and he always used to look for a reason to humiliate us 4. There are 2 internal exams and 2 semester exams (1 mid sem and 1 final sem ) the internals are easy but the semester exams are competitive for students and they have full syllabus for the importance, At least 5-10% people fail the exams And the course curriculum depends on the type of faculty that completes it

Night Life

4

Our campus is a 24hr campus and there are 2 cafes 1 restaurant and 1 general store in campus that is opened for 24 hrs Campus in Timings are 5-8 Pm and 9-11 am after that there is a penalty and punishment for the faulty We have Le gabriel Restaurant and We have veerji chaap, 3c burgers, Chai Sutta Bar and chaayos and yes it is safe to roam at night

Other Applied Colleges

Parul University | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Agriculture)

Because I wanted to Pursue my career in technological terms rather than just theory and base . Parul wasn't Offering Btech in Agricultural Engineering so I choosed Nims University over Parul Otherwise it would have been Parul University from my side

Placements in my collage are not very strong. A few companies visit, but the number is limited and the offer are also not very high . The average package is on the lower side and only a small number of students get placed through the campus. After completing my degree my plans is to continue improving my technical skills and apply for jobs outside the campus where the chances and salary packages are better.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In the year 2014 & 2015, there was a huge scope for people in Computer Science Engineering. There were unlimted number of possibilities for a B.tech graduate at that time. This is why, I chose B.tech Computer Science course. The curriculum will help you to deal with the exams. If you are giving graduate level exams, you will be well guided for it by the faculty. There are no smart classes or good practicals examiner which we call lab technicians which causes everyone a havoc in the labs area. The midterms are the first monthly based exams that you'll need to give in order to pass your academics. After that, Practicals and then written exams.

IIIT Kota was initially running at the MNIT Jaipur which is under top 10 nits. IIIT Kota's placements faced a drastic decrement in placement percentage from 92% in 2021 to 74% in 2024, because the campus had shifted to kota in 2021. In 2023-2024 the number of offers was 140 and eligible students were 162, the higest package was of 65 lakh and avg was 13.09. Companies such as yamaha, jio, oyo, infosys, microsoft, samsung sds, amazon capegimini etc visits. Student not only dependent on on- campus, but should also be in touch of off-campanies, and in good approach with their senior. I will frequently keep applying for job interviews.
