Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum, since it's medicine, is pretty tough. Chemistry is the hardest for many since we have to study many aspects of medicine and chemical reactions. It's also important for us to learn this since every bit of info is relevant to saving a person's life. With enough hardwork, any student could ace the exams. They need to improve on their lab since it needs many more apparatus. The difficulty level are moderate to high on each semester
Placement Experience
Students gets the campus placement after their fourth year. They gets the placement either from internship or in the hospital the rajiv Gandhi health are allied to. But many prepare for govt exams since the payscale for nurses are extremely low in india. The package per annum is expected to be around 30000 per year on no experience. I plan to either prepare for ssc or move abroad after getting the degree. Around 50 percent gets placed while the rest go for higher studies or government exams. The highest package is expected to be 500000 and Lowest could go as low as 250000 per annum each
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees per year for management quota would be 2 lakhs per year. As to what I know, there's no scholarship but you can get scholarship from other programs. I paid 20000 to book my seat. I got education loan so my rest of the fees would be covered by them. With merit list, the fees drops from 250000 to 150000. All the fees for other activities are included in this. The nri fee and the management fee are the same. My batchmates share similar fee structure as me. The fees are pretty decent for a college in a city like bangalore. There are no scholarship as far as I know tho.
Campus Life
The annual fest are conducted majestically. They are usually called mystalica along with the year it's conducted. Famous rappers do concerts there. There are sports days and football tournaments too conducted annually. Apparently there are no clubs but there are variety of books in the library
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is pretty bad. It's situated in a slum like area and the wastes are everywhere. The water is full of chlorine that I started experiencing hairfall. The hostel food is terrible and tasteless. I lost 3 kg already. I miss my home so much. They should improve the toilets. The meals are usually chapathi dal and rice. It's situated in Kalyan nagar
Admission
I am an average student and getting a nursing college in Bangalore would be hard. There were many colleges but I chose this since it has a hospital of its own and they have a pretty decent image on Instagram. My recommendation to this college came from my educational consultant. I got rejection from other colleges since I scored pretty low in 12th and the allotments got filled. The admission process is same as any other college, merit list gets filled first, then management, then the interview for the both. The minimum marks to get into this college is 50 percent in physics, chemistry and biology. We can get through kcet but it's only available for students in Karnataka so if you are from another state, management quota could be the only way.
Faculty
The faculty members are around 90 and the students would be around 300 if you take both the allied colleges. They are friendly and are easily approachable since many are malayalis. The teachers here are friendly and they are pretty chill. I like most of them and I didn't notice any negative thoughts on them since I am a first year. But many of my batchmates have a positive opinion on them. I like all of the teachers who takes our classes and respective subjects. The exams are usually tough since it's nursing and everyone needs to study what an mbbs students have to study. Ye so those who never put any hardwork are most likely to fail
Night Life
Since it's bangalore, the night life is pretty chilly. On winter it can go as low as 15 degrees. But the hostel is pretty strict with the timings so it's kinda difficult to go out. And there are lot to study so students usually spend their time studying
