Course Curriculum Overview
I selected Information technology prioritising my interest in tech because it focuses more on software side . The course if of 4 years and includes mainly every subject required for an IT Professional. The curriculum is well prepared and each subject are well arranged semester wise for easy learning. Students should also develop thier skills alonwith the course to grow better and find more opportuninties.
Internships Opportunities
Usually students have to find internships on their iwn and colllege helps them in finding. But again it depends on students ability and skills. Your projects and your work provide you more chance to get internships and many internships are paid. few are unpaid also but only fro learning purpose.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placement after third year. There are many good placements in college and college tries its best to provide good placement. But honestly it depends on students whether they get good placement or not. Currently highest package her is 20 LPA in 2024-25. sometimes many good companies come for placemnt round but all students cant cope up with skills required and they dont get high pauinng job. so focus on your skills and projects it will help you a lot. Around 60-80 % students gets placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure is on the basis of how you took admision in college . There are 3 ways to take admision : though GUJCET ,through management quota and through NRI quota. Fees for GUJCET and MANAGEMENT is same but for NRI quota it is higher. Usually it is 115000rs per annum OR 57000rs per semester for admision through gujcet and management quota. For NRI quota fees can go upto 2 lakh per annum. Exam fee is 1500rs. There are also TFWS seats available for students with high rank and come from weaker financial background. thier fees is 1500rs per annum but these seats are limited and requires high rank in gujcet.
Campus Life
Overall campus life is amazing. You will finnd a lot of events like Ganesh chaturthi, navratri ,concerts, co curricular activities. There are many evnets organised annually like Youth fest, Spectrum (tech event), and much more. Many hackathons are also orgnaised on different levels. The library consists of many academic books but few non academic books. Classrooms have smartboards which is good. Many diiferent clubs are also there like coding club, cybersecurity, finearts, music, book club, sports club, enterpreneurship club and many more.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility can be considered average or above average compared to other hostels. There are 3 sharing rooms with bed , study table, cupboard for each and 2 fans in room with attached bathroom. Also there are Ac rooms if someone want to opt for it. Mess food is descent, not much good not that bad. Hostel rooms can be registered through college itself and are affordable. 53000 per annum for normal rooms including mess and 70000 per annum for AC rooms including mess.
Admission
I had made a list of colleges in gujarat to take admission in. There were few top colleges which required very hogh rank and i couldnt get that much high rank as for tier 2 college. But this college is better than many othe colleges in gujarat as it is well known CVM university and also established many years ago. ALso located in Vallabh Vidhyanagar , the city of colleges and students. So the environment is also good.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio can be considered on basis of a faculty taking class in how many classes. Considering that it would be like 1:100 ratio. There are many well experienced faculties in college, few are from more than 20 years in this college and few young profesors are also there. Course structure is not much complex and is similliar to other tier 2 colleges in gujarat. Exam system is like 1 mid sem and 1 end sem exam per semester. Also class quiz is also there which has weightagee in final result. Marking scheme is like 50 marks internal (20 marks of mid sem and 30 marks internal) +50 marks end sem exam +50 marks external viva and practical. total 150 marks.
Night Life
There are many restaurants and cafes near college. Also box cricket is also there near by. Usually students hangout at cafes outside college and also roam around cricket ground or sports complex. Hostel is not much strict but not liberal also. The hostel gates closes at 11pm for boys and at 7pm for girls. There are many malls, theaters in the city and many more places to hangout.
