Course Curriculum Overview
I would rate the course curriculum as moderately relevant and comprehensive, with certain strengths and areas for improvement. The inclusion of practical labs, industry-oriented projects, and foundational subjects influenced my decision to choose this course, as they provide a good base for real-world applications and further studies. While the curriculum does prepare students for industry challenges, it could be improved by integrating newer technologies, hands-on workshops, and elective courses focused on emerging fields. Exams are conducted periodically, with mid-semester and end-semester tests, along with regular assignments and quizzes. The difficulty level is fair, but better alignment of teaching methods with practical applications and updated content would enhance learning outcomes.
Fees and Financial Aid
As a JVD student, my entire college fee of ?67,500 per year is paid by the government under a scholarship scheme. The yearly fee structure includes tuition fees, development fees, lab fees, registration fees, and other compulsory charges. For non-scholarship students, the fee structure varies by category. For example, general or management category students pay the full amount of ?67,500 yearly, while students in reserved categories like SC/ST are eligible for government subsidies or reduced fees, depending on specific policies. Additionally, the college offers merit-cum-need-based scholarships for eligible students to support their financial needs. The fees for my batchmates have not increased during the course duration.
Campus Life

Faculty
The faculty members in my college are approachable and supportive, with a faculty-to-student ratio of around 1:20, ensuring individual attention. Some of the best faculties, excel in explaining complex topics with practical examples, making learning engaging. However, a few faculties, such as focus heavily on theory, which can make the subject harder to understand. The course structure is well-balanced, combining theory and practicals, and the curriculum is mostly relevant to industry trends, though it could include more updated technologies. Exams include mid-semester, end-semester, and quizzes, with a moderate difficulty level—around 10-15% of students face challenges clearing some core subjects. Overall, the academic system is rigorous but effective in preparing students for the industry.
