Course Curriculum Overview

1

In terms of relevance and comprehensiveness for my branch "Data Science", i would say it was almost similiar to the main branch of "Computer Science" which means there is like no previlege for you in the name of specialization.

Placement Experience

3

After 7th semester we are eligible for the campus placement and our college offer the placement assitance which help student to get a company, Normally, there are 7-8 Core Companies and other 9-10 companies visit the campus in the online mode for recruitment and average package the offer is like (3-6 lakh per annum). But despite of this many number of company only like 10-20% percent of the students get the placement which is also usually meant to be a agreement based which cause other problems for the students in the future. Normally the faculty doesn't care about potential skills of the student the just refer the student to the company which are like highlighted or it's like a favour system.

Fees and Financial Aid

- I am Paying right now approx 90,000 per month excluding the hostel or any kind of my personal travel expenses. - The fees is same for everyone but the student can claim scholarship from government offices. - This is not a fixed amount of fees you have to pay, every year there will be a increase of fees from 2000rs to 5000rs yearly. - Something around 20,000rs to 22,000rs are collected on the name of development fees yearly which i guess irralevent, only meant to steal middle class hard earned money.

Campus Life

4

There are use to be "Quasar" a sport competition every year and a fest "Basant" from every 2 years. Both are fun event for the intraction with others and enjoying life. you have many variatites of the books and novel in the library which you can avail from the library for reading and can return to the library till the 15 days of issue. College offers various areas for like Badminton, Cricket, Volleyball, Basketball, Table Tennis, Carrom. There are groups in the College you can associate with and learn many things but i would suggest you to take your time before joining any group or not joining group.

Hostel Facilities

1

I havn't tried the hostel facility for myself because i was the dayscholar but the thinks i know is like the hostel cost around 70,000rs per annum and security money is seperate from that. The meal quality is like you have variation of the cussions on the menu but for taste the are like only edible (Usually get to know from my friends but there stories of skipping meals). You can rent rooms outside of the campus which are not usually affilated with the college but the rooms or pg you can have the nightlife freedom and a quality food from any local cloud kitchen or mess you like.

Admission

I choosed this College due to its previous reputation among my family and local area. And this college use to produce the quality student before 2019 but after i took my admission i got to know the college discipline is like declining gradualy and the are just taking students without any pre-requirement like any paper or grade system. While time of my admission the asked me for my precentage which was 91%. So, they said we only take highly educated students but after admission i say the ground reality which was anyone can take admission with money.

Faculty

3

In my College there are many teachers to for the students but the thing i haved faced during my college life there was no specialized teacher for my course path. My branch is "Computer Science (Data Science)" which should meant that i will learn in depth knowledge of "Data Science", but during my learining the was like 97% course similiar to the "Computer Science" branch. The Only teacher i have encoundered helpful was Mrs. Monika Sharma because among other faculity i had a helpful and kind vibe from her. Normally other faculity teachers are also approachable the usually ignore you or just cannot guide anyone.

Night Life

2

Nightlife In the campus is like normal. In Pilani, there are like not that much things to have fun or to enjoy the nightlife. Also the college have a rule of no outing outside of the college after 8 p.m. . And use have to be inside of the hostel before 8-8:30 p.m. .So, there is not much on the name of nighlife but you can go to gym, canteen, library or just roam around in the college before the closing time of college. They only time to enjoy the night life is mainly when some kind of event is get hosted by college.

Companies like jo Morgan, Deloitte, Flipkart, goldman sachs , PepsiCo ,oracle, bny ,ubs , rippling etc come here for placements, some of them come for 2months and 6months internship too. Average package offered by them is 9-10 lpa , jpmc , Goldman, visa they offer till 12 lpa and it can go up for some of the companies . Most of the companies allow to sit for 6.5cgpa and above but some of them allows 7.5 and above cgpa and jpmc allows 8.5cgpa and plus as far I know till now . Course curriculum is good and relevant which will definitely help in the future in whatever field of career you are choosing. If I talk about the area of improvement, there are few faculties which won't think for the students, they Even care if the students are studying or not.

Reviewed on Mar 2, 2025(Enrolled 2025)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is vast and allows a student to explore all the possible options to take before deciding on one . The field of elctronics and communication engineering allows one to deal with electronics and learn all the possible tinkering with them which is a very fascinating part as all the gadgets possible today were made of them. The curriculum does satisfy this thirst by teaching about them in the class of electronics and electricals and then experimenting in the lab with them . The areas for improvement could be that if a student is interested in a specific field then should be allowed to venture that field throughly instead of sitting in every class , but that is an imrovement for the indian education system as as whole . The classes of every subject does occur frequently and and exams take place every month in a form of quiz or proper pen based exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I like computer science and I can see my future in this course. The current ratio in computer science courses is around 1:5. And we don't have technical communication teaching at present and the college is saying that they will recruit teachers as soon as possible. The student-teacher ratio in all the branches is around 1:3. All facilities are well qualified and teach well but they are not permanent and hence they may or may not be changed next year. There are two semesters in each year and an examination is conducted after each semester. The difficulty level of these exams ranges from moderate to difficult.
