What Students Say?
Likes
- The fests, teams, clubs, events are great in our college which help us gain praftical knowledge and build our network. There are 4 main fests hosted by CMS and we even participate in different fest across Bangalore which helps us a lot.
- There are various activities and presentations that take place in class which helps us gain practical knowledge and mentors us for future.
Dislikes
- There's no campus for the Student to explore, it's just one building which is not so exciting.
- There are no field trips or anything in that sense for the students so they end up staying in class the whole day.
Course Curriculum Overview
I would rate it 4/5, the exams are too often like 3 exams in 5 months. Atleast give the student some time to adjust and the most disgusting thing is that the semester breaks. Bro there are students from outside, give them atleast 15 days to go home twice a year, they are living away from their family, wassup with a week holiday for semester break. This is not at all fair.
Internships Opportunities
Most of the internships are unpaid but there's Dell's internship which is like the most important one. IT'S for 2 month with 15K stipend per month, work from office and they even give PPO if they are happy with your work, so this seems like a nice opportunity. They provide internship in sales.
Placement Experience
There are placements from college but I don't think it's a good thought to rely on college placements because everyone knows the reality. Anyways I am gonna go for higher studies so I don't think that I would be opting for placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
First year's fee was 300000 and from second year it's 280000. Fees for NRI students are higher, fees for CMA, sports, WOW all the courses are different. Actually every year the fees is increasing due to inflation and I don't think it's worth the amount we are paying.
Campus Life
The infrastructure is not at all good, it's just a building which is worse than schools, grow the campus atleast. But the club's, teams and social aspects are great. It is very motivating, engaging and inspiring.
Hostel Facilities
Huh the hostel is the worst, the premium hostel costs 300000 per year and it is not at all worth. Most of the time there's no water, current, the lift doesn't work properly and food is not at all eatable. Once there was a time when worms were found in the hostel food so I would be suggesting don't even think of registering for college hostel.
Admission
I applied to Symbiosis, NMIMS, IIM Indore, St Xavier's and XIM and I chose CMS because of the location, the college hours and the fests that happens in this college. Though I didn't get admission in IIM Indore otherwise I would I have chose that over everything cuz hello?
Faculty
There are some great faculties who enhance the overall experience of the class by engaging in debates on trending topics. But some faculties are very boring and just read the ppts which even we can do but we want some interesting things in class which keeps us engaging.
Interview Experience
Yeah there was an entrance test and then a personal interview which was basic like based on daily life topics, they just wanted to see how confident you are and we were told to talk for a minute on a particular topic which we had to choose from the given list
Night Life
There's no campus and the hostel is also away from college so there no nightlife in or around campus. There's no proper cafeteria or hangout spot even though there is a mid restaurant opposite to the college where people go to grab a bite during the breaks.
