Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum has been revised. It has become autonomous. It mostly focuses on practical learning and skill development instead of just subjects.Even from 2nd year students are requested to get an internship work on it and develop skills to sustain in the current industrial demands.Instead of just lab sessions, more bootcamps and seminars can be taken to keep learning with fun.

Placement Experience

3

The average package is around 4 lakhs per anum. There are a lot of opportunities for campus placements. Each of it are provided with traning and internship to develop skills before converting to full time opportunities. So far a totla of 700+ offers are secured with over 50+ company visiting. My plan is to go for internship where i have secured an offer at infosys. From semester 6 the placements usually starts for all department students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure differs. There are fee expections for sports category and governmnet school students. The structure differs from self finacing to government seat. I got through government counselling. 1st year:1,95,000 RS. From 2nd to final year : RS.1,55,000. It includes breakfast, snacks, lunch, transportation, book fee and tutiton fee.

Campus Life

4

The overall social life is cool,There are lot of technical and non technical events happening around always.Special days like christmas, pongal,Eid are celebrated. The NGo visits, industrial visits, hackathon hosting, symposium ,culturals ,college day, hostel day are the most exciting ones with music, dance and dj filling the room with joy and laughter.

Admission

I applied to mostly tier 1 and tier 2 colleges. The common mistake i did was to focus on department rather than the fame of college. I choose to apply to only computer science and information technology. If i had focused a little on the college rather than the department i could have got through anna university or MIT. Those government colleges provide you with various connections and resources for self development.Everything will be at your will and at your pace. Our college has a custom rule that each of us has to follow so the concept of freedom cuts off here. Things are spoonfed here. You donot get much exposure. I chose this college for its facilities, the concept of food then transportation was a greater relief to my parents and the history of placements and discipline is a record.

Faculty

3

50-60 students for 1 faculty is the overall ratio. There is a separate exam control cell to take care of exam process. Each year there are 3 model exams conducted for internal marks along with co-curricular activities. Then semester exams are conducted for each semester mostly in the forenoon session. The pass percentage is usally above 90 . You even get to choose elective subjects of your choice during your final year.

Night Life

4

For hostel students they are allowed to play, work or do prep works for study ,there is a wifi room with internet connectivity,a medical room and a sports area also gym.Students are allowed to workout ,play or spend time with family thorugh calls. There are a lot of theme parks and malls arounds thats the usual good to go place.
