Course Curriculum Overview

4

The quality of training sessions and the approach of the faculty towards teaching methodologies inspired me a lot to pursue this course. There are enough industry designed training sessions for students to gain real world industry workings. The areas of improvement include inclusion of additional subjects as per the interest of the students and future technologies in demand. The timings of exams are quite good as per the difficulty level of the question paper. Enough time is provide to solve the question paper.

Internships Opportunities

2

Many companies provided internship opportunities to the students with a stipend of around 12-18k. There were many technical and non-technical roles provided during internship. Projects are given to the students which is of the industry level. The project is of the level which make students ready to work on real life industry projects.

Placement Experience

3

Students become eligible for placements from the seventh semester of their engineering. Many companies like tcs, Wipro, Accenture, cognizant, appinventive, Capgemini and Grapecity visited our college for placement almost 85-90% students were placed. The highest package offered was 6.5 lpa and average package was 3.2 lpa. The percentage of students placed were around 90%.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total Course for the course was 104000, which includes overall fees including lab charges, admission fees, development fees, tution charges, registration fees and admission fees. There were scholarships provided to meritorious students based on their senior secondary scores. Those scoring above 90% would get 40% scholarship and those scoring 75% and above would get 10% scholarship yearly. Also there was also a government scholarship scheme for the financially weak students per year for which the there was a passing criteria every year.

Campus Life

3

Annual function is held every year in the month of December having various technical and sports activities. There are enough books available for the students to study from the library. Every facility is provided for the students inside the classroom. There are enough sports and extracurricular activities held in college campus every semester, students perform till stated and national level.

Admission

I applied in Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology too for the same course and got the seat but I chose bit because of their less fee structure and their teaching methodologies. The admission process in based on the jee mains scores obtained by the students. Also there is admission based on managemt quote in which seats are given to the meritorious students based on the senior secondary scores.

Faculty

3

The faculty to the student ration is somewhere 70:30. The relationship between students and teachers are friendly and supportive. Facilities are catlring towards students. The best there is Mr. Kshitiz Saxena Sir, the head of department of CSE. He is a very kind hearted and supportive person. The faculty which I disliked was Mr. Shiv prasad of electrical department who is somewhat not caring and supportive towards students. There are 3 sessional exams before every semester for the students and it is compulsory to pass in atleast two sessional exams to appear for the semester exams. The difficulty of the exams are moderate to difficult.

Interview Experience

3

Yes, there were written tests, Group Discussions in the company's placement process. The topics for the GD were the recent trending topics. The interview questions were based on the technical subjects of DSA and programmings languages and also the questions were asked from the projects made by us in final year. The test pattern was difficult to moderate and based on aptitude reasoning and programming.

Night Life

2

There is a gym facility provided in the college hostel and a cafeterias for the students to sit and relax. College has strict timings for classes and hostel entry and exit. Night life is quite good inside the campus for the students. Well light campus and greenery is there around the campus the whole night.

My college has an average placement of 6LPA. Placement eligibility starts from the end of 5th semester, but when I got promoted to 5th semester, placements declined due the the restructuring in placement cell. So our batch missed the opportunity to attend any placements. In year 2022, the highest placement was around 22LPA and in year 2023, it declined to 9 LPA as there was restructuring in team. After getting my degree I will look for carrier opprotunities on my own, as I have not experienced any placement in my college years.

Corporate Law is a subjects but no corporate placements as law firms were the sole contributors of our university. They gave as many placements as 30% students were placed and that too with very thin packages. So, university needs to fix this just like they have fixed every single thing at the campus.

Placements for Law are not comparable to the tech courses so far at GLA. Every year combining BBA LLB and BA LLB around 300 and I don't think even 100 are placed. So, GLA University will have to find a way to get atleast half the students find placements here and because I know my chances of getting placements are slim, I will be opting for doing LLM after I am done with LLB in 2027.
