Remarks
Positive - Food is the USP of this University. No other private University let alone Government Universities can boast of having such a good menu of food. Negative - They have a strict policy of separating boys with girls. Theydo not allow boys and girls to even talk with each other.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was a bit dull all through 4 years. They believe in quantity more than quality. It means if you know how to fill pages rather than writing short & descriptive answers, you will be able to run through the 4 years without any problem. The syllabus and the books they provide are 20-25 years old which is obviously outdated. But then the whole of Indian education system thrives in this. Old syllabus meant no knowledge about the existing & recent technologies.
Placement Experience
The teaching standard is not that great but it is enough to suffice in the current Indian education market. And also enough to get a decent job in the First Day companies. The university provides a good opportunity for Placement with more than 30-40 companies visiting the campus every year though mostly in the IT sector. Placement cell is really good as they will start giving you placement tuitions from the 2 year itself. It will help you prepare for the placement opportunities ahead.
College Events
Events are not that great either as the faculties or management are not that big a fan of co-curricular activities. There's a single fest that happens in the college in a single years and that too boys and girls are made to stand separately as per the laws of the college. Other than there's only a handful of event that occurs in the college. The most important event that happens in the college is the Inter State Basketball Championship which happens in the Universities fully furnished maple wood flooring Basketball court. Other than that a few IEEE events that happens in almost every college. So if you're someone who thrives in Co-curricular activity, this is not the college for you.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is among the best in private Colleges in Chennai or even in South India. They charge a leniant amount of Tuition fee and also Hostel fee compared to other colleges in the same rank like SRM, Hindustan University or VIT.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarship opportunities are given to meritorious students who achieve too ranks in their Entrance exams. Apart from that they have good offers for National Level sports players. Other than that no scholarships based on your previous marks if you're going through Management Quota.
Campus Life
There is simply little to no Extra Curricular activity in this college as the Management doesn't believe in such things. And even if the Management gives you the nod to attend extra curricular activities in other colleges there is a big chance that your own departments faculty members won't allow you.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel infrastructure is good. The food facility is the USP of this University as they provide one if the best food menu an Indian College has to offer. Apart from that there's a single canteen for each hostel. The only bad thing about the hostels are that you are not allowed to go out of the University gates 29 days a month. You will only be allowed to go out of the University on 1 weekend that too not more than 12 hours.
Alumni/Alumna
Their alumni network is strong. Yet not much of a use. Neither do they have any alumni meet nor do they update us on anything except for asking alumni to in various companies to ask them to make their companies visit the college during Placements.
Faculty
The faculty behave more like Parents than teachers. No not the caring part but the scolding and strictness part. The k owoedge they have is good but their knowledge just like the books are ages old. So no scope of getting information about the current trends. There are actually a handful of teachers who are aware of the current technologies and have ample knowledge about them.
