Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course is as prescribed by MUHS, Nashik. Preparing well for the exam along woth joining a clinic in person helps you gain good clinical knowledge. There are clinical rotations amd exposure to SDH patients and some surgeries. The one year compulsory rotatory internship is very useful in developing skills.

Internships Opportunities

5

There is a compulsory one year rotatory internship. Six months in the college, three months in any phc and 3 months in any civil hospital. This is a private institute affiliated to MUHS. Thus, there is no stipend for the internship.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fees for BAMS: ?215000 for the first 3 years. ?3,22,000 for 4th year. For Open category. College deposit ?20,000 (refundable). Tuition fees ?1,98,000. Development fees ?17000. Exam fees are separate. Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Scholarship, Panjabrao Deshmukh Scholarship and EBC scolarship were given based on caste/category. 50% concession for OBC and more for SC, ST and VJNT

Campus Life

5

There is one annual college fest which begins with outdoor sports competitions, indoor sports, rangoli, mehendi and drawing or cooking competitions. Then cultural activities like dance, fashion show, thematic group performance and skits/plays. The fest ends with prize distribution ceremony for the winners of the competitions. And the convocation ceremony of the college is conducted on the last day. The college has a well equipped library with all the books relevant to the curriculum available. It also has subscriptions for medical magazines. There are special provisions for availing the books for minorities.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel is good. Provides gym, clean food and water. There is a separate study room, tv room, mess, common room. A lift was under construction may have been completed. But the hostel accomodates 4-5 people in a small room. It is highly uncomfortable. ?191000 for this accommodation is not at all cos effective. I had rented a room in Kodoli. It costed me around ?2500 per month. The mess was ?2700 per month. The owners were good people. The neighborhood is very friendly and safe. The sunsets from my terrace were to die for!

Admission

I was allotted this college in second CAP round of NEET UG 2017. I retained the college considering that it was among the top private colleges in India. The fees are affordable. The locality is safe. Also it was near my residence. The admission process is same for all colleges. You have to report on the given date with a list of original documents and their copies. Pay the fees of first year and the college deposit. You may or may not retain the college.

Faculty

5

The college faculty is very knowledgeable and approachable. For every subject there are 4-6 teachers for 100 students. They are very friendly and help you wherever needed. Dr. Vishala Turlapaty, HOD, SRPT; Dr. Dash, HOD, Balrog and many other extremely knowledgeable teachers teach you. They are experts in clearing the basic concepts of respective subjects along with providing insights about the lates updates in the profession. They encourage you as much as they inspire. There are 3 exams every year. 2 internal examinations and 1 final university examination. Internal exams are of moderate difficulty level and usually include prev year questions for practice. Mock practicals and viva are also conducted. 80-85% students usually clear the exams. Tje college is affiliated with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) and follows the course same syllabus.

Night Life

5

The college has 2 cafeterias run by two different people. It provides breakfast, lunch and dinner along with tea and other snacks. The owners are good people and cafes are hygienic. There is no gym provided by the college. However the sports department provides various equipments like cricket bats, stumps and balls, footballs etc. The girl's hostel provides a well equipped gym. The in time for girl's hostel is 7 pm. And that for boy's hostel is 9 pm. The college is open 24hrs. The library closes by 5 pm along with office and classrooms. However common rooms for studies is available 24x7. The jyotiba temple, panhala fort, ambabai mandir, rankala lake, kaneri math, Balumama math are famous tourist attractions. Various other hidden gems are present nearby. There are 3 good theatres nearby. Kodoli has many dining and snacking options as well. And the area is completely safe for males and females alike.
