Course Curriculum Overview

4

My course is MBBS.it is quite a rigorous course with lot of comprehensiveness and workload. Relevance to the course is there. The curriculum is pretty important as it trains us well enough for the outside world and how to deal with it.

Internships Opportunities

2

The internship is of 1 year at the end of 4 years of college. The intership could be done at any hospital or could be done in the same hospital as your college. Interns get paid upto 12000 per month throughout the internship.

Fees and Financial Aid

My college academic fees is 1650000 per year which is paid every year if you do not avail any scholarships. The bus fees is 85000 annually and if we opt for hostel the cost goes to 145000 which includes mess fees as well. It is compulsory to choose either hostel or bus services. Medical colleges in M.P. do provide various scholarships for people with low income. The medhavi Scholarship is for all categories and the only scholarship for general category students in which the annual income of parents should be less than 600000 and the student must have had more than 85% in class 12th. In that case the gov. Pays the complete academic tution fees of college for 5.5 years.

Campus Life

4

My college is active in social events and tournaments and many more sports activities. It engages students in all the activities along with studies. The campus is filled with food location as situated in Dewas. The transport availability is near by and food is also decent.

Admission

I applied for various colleges but got this one since it depends upon the marks we get in neet UG examination. It is a private college with high fees. It ranks after the gov colleges in mp and has a decent reputation. Admission process is followed according to NMC Schedule passed every year at the time of neet UG counselling.

Faculty

4

The students to teacher ratio is poor. We have 1 hod 2 assistant professors and 3 tutors per department. The assistant professors are pretty approachable and tutors are helpful. Education is prime most important in our college.

Night Life

3

The hostels have in built gym and cafes are located around the campus. The girls hostel timming is 9 pm comdidering girls safety whereas boys hostel in time is 11pm. The timmings gets extended at the time of events and fests. The locality is safe to roam around at night. Indore and ujjain are close by for travelling for students. The hostel has seprate rooms for 2 and seprate washroom in every room.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The MBBS course curriculum is quite comprehensive and well-structured, covering all the essential aspects of medical science needed for both academic growth and clinical practice. The inclusion of subjects like Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry in the first year builds a strong foundation for understanding the human body and disease mechanisms. The curriculum is relevant as it gradually progresses from basic to clinical subjects, preparing students for real-world medical applications and patient care. Teaching methods such as interactive lectures, practical sessions, dissections, and clinical demonstrations make learning more engaging and concept-based. However, more emphasis on integrated teaching, case-based discussions, and exposure to real clinical settings from the early years would further enhance understanding and application. The frequency and timing of exams are generally well-planned, but sometimes the schedule can feel packed, leaving limited time for conceptual revision. Overall, the curriculum is highly relevant and effective, though incorporating more modern teaching methods, simulation-based learning, and periodic skill assessments could make it even better suited for today’s medical challenges.
