Course Curriculum Overview

3

Always wanted to study in arts stream cause I like the subjects very much so I chose this course. Yeah, The curriculum is good and in some way it prepares me for further academic pursuits and for real world applications as well. Improvement is needed in some areas like way of teaching, maintaining a particular time for class room teaching, giving gaps or a proper time period between exams and making a bit easy curriculum. Yes it's getting very difficult for me in case of exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

In the 1st year I paid around 1800, In the second year I paid around 2000 and I'm in final year now and very recently I've paid around 2500. There are many scholarships for students including State Scholarship (E-medhabruti) and Nuao Scholarship and so on. I've received Nuao Scholarship once during 2nd year. I don't know exactly but probably those who avail reservation they pay less fees than the general category. The answer of the second bit question is, it's all added in our admission and readmission fees. Other expenses like buying study materials, travelling to college, college events like fresher's, farewell, study tour fees and other college essentials, those we've to pay by ourselves.

Campus Life

3

No annual festivals held in our college except or fresher's & farewell function. Yes Library is good and it has many books, journals, newspapers and so on. The facilities within the classroom is moderate. Yeah There is wide range of opportunities offered for sports and extracurricular activities in our college. There is a Student Union in our college.

Admission

Admission process wasn't that easy. It's a bit complicated for a lay man. You have to select & give the name of the college or university (most desired) (in the given website) in serial no. 1 in which you are willing to take admission. After that you can give the names of other colleges as well. In addition to that you have to give the stream & subject which you want to take. Then you're required to give all the details which are visible in that application form, some details are mandatory too. After that you're required to give all your documents, marksheets, rankcard whatever is needed & mentioned in the application form. Then you have to pay the mentioned amount in the application form as the final step and you are done! During My admission time in the year 2022 Cut-off percentage for my hons subject which is Sociology was 86% and as I secured 89%, I was lucky enough to get this subject. As far as I know, The Cut-off percentage of other subjects like For English it was 88% and for geography it was 87%

Faculty

2

The faculty to student ratio is like 40:60. The relationship between faculties and students is good. Very few faculties are good, rest are not at all good. Only a few faculties are approachable. Rest faculties don't even care about anyone. They do whatever they want. I really like Lohit Sir, Mausumi Ma'am, Lucy Ma'am and Shweta Ma'am. They are the best. Annirudh Sir, Aditi ma'am, Brinda ma'am and some others whom I don't like. They always do partiality and they're full of attitude and self obsessed. They don't look at all students in the same manner. They personally judge the students. Course curriculum is good but it could be much better. There are 6 semesters. They are not at all easy, they are very difficult. As far as I know many students like approx 30-40% students fail to clear the exam.

Night Life

3

We don't have gym, cafeteria and all those stuffs. We only have library which is big and nice a very small canteen. As I don't stay in hostel so I don't know much about it. But as far as I heard from my classmates who are staying in hostel, it's good. No it's not at all safe to roam around at night as the area has very few street lights and it's a bit risky. There is no place for hangout inside college. There is a big mall outside the college and it's good for hangout.

They provide vast type of coriculom like - kabadi, football, cricket, nss, ncc etc. Who going to that field. That was best for that man applying that field. I i suggest for their improvement in faculty-student ratio. This university exams very tough. The Invigilateers are very stricts. They dont provide any comp on exams.
