Baroda Medical College, my dream college

I love human body and all its anatomy and physiology that comes into play. By completing MBBS one gets a better insight about the diseases their treatment. Working as a doctor is also considered as a noble job as you will be helping people with their health and get their blessings. Curriculum gives good real life training by interacting with real patients. Exams are conducted annually only with certain minor exams taken every couple of months.

Compulsory internship is given by the college in the SSG hospital for one year. Stipend of 21,000 Rs. per month is also given. Working hours vary and students have to do night shifts too. Every month people have to rotate in differnt departments of the hospital.

Tution fee- 25,000 INR per year Hostel fees- 7,000 INR per year (3000 Rs. refundable deposit is to be subitted) Examinotion fees - 3,0000 INR per year Fees is same irrespective of category. No scholarship is provided by the college.

Vibrant and Youthcon are the prominent annual festivals of our college conducted during October and March respectively. Library has access to almost all books rewuired to complete MBBS and can be taken to the hostel for one week with letter from the librarian. Classrooms have projectors, AC, mics and leathered seats. Hoste provides daily room cleaning, drnking water, common bathrooms and toilets. Everyday 2 sabzi, daal chaval is prepared for lunch and dinner Sundays and other holidays have special sweets and food items Hostel costs 7,000 INR per YEAR Hostel is 200 meters from college campus Meal quality is decent

I chose this college based of the ranking i found online and also based of the fact that it is near to my hometown. This college has better teachers and encourages more extra curricular activities than other colleges like BJ MEdical Ahemdabad, PDU Rajkot or MP Shah Jamnagar. Admission is through state counselling or All India Quota cunselling conducted by MCC based on your NEET-UG marks. I got rejected from Government Medical Colleges of Delhi because of my low NEET marks. I scored 622/720 in NEET 2021

Faculties of some departments are very approachable and act as great mentors, departments like pharmacology and PSM are student freindly. Some of the faculties have youtube channels like Dr. Viren Karia where they upload teaching videos and they help us study. Some faculties have ego because of the postion they hold and are not aporachable.

Hostel has an inbuilt gym where most of the students go to. Hostel gates are closed from 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM. Mess timing are 8 AM to 9 PM There are several cafes nearby like Kaffa, Table at splatter, Coffee clan etc where peple go to hangout. Vadodra is a very safe city to roam around even in the night College campus has several guards on duty during the night.
