Course Curriculum Overview

4

The good things about this curriculum is that it is really unique and interesting. This has many things to feed a mind that is really curious about the world around us. The curriculum has many real world work opportunities. The opportunities are really high class but a few.The curriculum has quite a practical approach to the syllabus.Labs has the necessary equipments and proper guidence from the lab staff. It only require some discipline and some dedication to get the most out of the facilities. The curriculum has alot of scope for improvements. One such improvement is to provide real world experience in the form of internships and visits to different laboratories which will help the students to get some real perspective of what the course is and how one should prepare oneself to get equiped to work with some great employers. The exams are conducted twice a year as per the semester. The difficulty level for the exams are moderate. They are not very simple but doable.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is not very much at max reaches 3700 for General Category students.Gor other categories it remains under 4000.For SC and ST catagory it is just 1800 a year.On top of that one can avail benefit of various scholarships around 12000 per year at least.

Campus Life

3

The campus life is really fun although there are not many things one can do there but still if you get the company of good friends it gets really fun because there are sports where you can visit and compete to see what you got in your sports arsenal. There is alot of empty space in the campus where you can sit or hide while you bunk a boring lecture. There is one annual fest which is generally held in February accompanied by some local cultural fest organised by students unions throughout the years. The library of the institute is quite immense where one can find all the academic reference books required for their courses.Other than them not many books are available most of the books are related to academic only. The labs and classroom are well equipped with projectors and other required equipments.Especially the laboratories are quite nice and all the equipment mostly remains in working condition are often replaced when they get defected. There are many student run unions aka political parties of the college. They are active throughout the year organising protests targeting the short comings of the college and while they are really involved in the protests they also celebrate the national importance like bithdays of national heros and people of significant contribution for the nation. They will actually help a student to form conections and be aware of different aspects about the national history and heritage. Lastly there are the annual university games for the sports enthusiasts. The sport facilities are not that great and there're no coaches for the games opted by students but the college kind of arranges some guest coaches sometimes other than that sports are only on paper. They are conducted regularly by the University but are not well managed by the college as per coaching facility. Also the grounds and courts are not very well maintained. There are literally just fields in the name of sports grounds as the sports facilities are still in the construction phase.

Admission

When looking for colleges after my high school result came out,I came across many such colleges that offer a course with quite high fees. The reason I chose PDDU is that first of all it has been the oldest college for science in the city (Formerly known as SK Science College). So the legacy of the college is really great. Many of the renowned names of the city are actually from this college.Second reason being the affordability because this college literally asks for only 4500 rupees at max for the general category students.Third reason being that it has probably one of the best curriculum, campus and great extra curriculars amongst all the colleges of the city. Although the Rajasthan University situated in Jaipur has much more to offer when I myself also applied. But I fell short from the cutoff by just a small bit. I was really looking forward to get in the BSc(Physics) course there but the cutoff went somewhat higher than what I actually got. Although I literally got admission offer from every other college in the city but the prestigiousness of the PDDU was really huge plus the things that they offer within such low fees are unparallel. So I opted for PDDU instead of any of these colleges. The admission process of the college is really simple. One has to apply online on the college admission portal. If you have cleared the cutoff and meet the admission criteria then you'll receive a notification on your mail or one can also check the website for the admission list. The cutoff actually varies from catagory to catagory. For General category it usually stays above 90 percent. The eligibility is simple:One has to meet the required cut-off marks in the 12th board examination. The admission experience is somewhat smooth if you have all the required documents but in case if you don't there may be some Hassel for you to complete the final submission process but don't worry there will be student representatives to help you through the process and make the admission process easy

Faculty

4

The faculties are very well learned but can be harsh at times. They try to conduct classes regularly but the lack of student interest and efforts of the faculties make it difficult to have regular study sessions. It is really rare to see any faculty finish the given syllabus target for the session.Alhough there are efforts from the faculty side but they sometimes face alot of workload from the government. The exams are conducted annualy and also twice as for the semester system. The exams are a high time for all the students. But mostly half of the students enrolled in the first year will not able to make it to the second year because of the lack of tests and exam practices. One has to prepare on their own mostly to score good in the exams. The exams are not very easy but not really difficult either just some regular preparation will help one go past them easily as there are resources beyond faculty notes and books like guides, mock test papers, past year problem practice sets and one week series etc.If one does any of these honestly in a planned manner then scoring good will not be very difficult.

Night Life

3

The university campus is day scholars only so there are no night life.Altough there is a vast area that the college posses with moderate greenery and many trees to get a shade while you bunk the class of your least favourite professor. There are no gyms and cafeterias at all just vast and empty land. There are although one separate room for both boys and girls to sit and relax inbetween the Although there are some spots outside the college campus where you and your friends can have some packaged snacks and drinks. The locality is usually empty during the night and isn't safe to roam as it's a remote area outside city. There are no hostels inside the campus although one can find the government funded hostels in the city which offer the rooms at very low cost. The hostel open timings are usually from 5 AM to 10 PM. The campus usually opens early in the morning (mostly around 7) but the classes start from 10 Am only. The college usually last around 4 PM.

Students at JNVU or Bangur pg college pali are typically eligible for campus placement from final semester of their undergraduate or postgraduate programs. .official list of companies visited are not provided in detailed but companies in sector like commerce, management, engineering, science, law and arts are likely to recruit from college. .Well I don't know the exact details but yes I can share some that, Highest package - INR 12 LPA Average package - INR 4 LPA Median package - INR 3.5 LPA . Percentage of students getting placement rates are 50% to 70% (not approx) .After getting a b.Sc. degree from GBPGC, i plan to pursue higher education like M.Sc. (master of science) or I want to gain professional experience through interships and jobs.
