Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum of Pharm-D was comprehensive and relevant, which was a significant factor in my descision to pursue it . It covers a wide range of topics ,from pharmacotherapeutics to Clinical practice , offering a strong foundation in both theoretical knowledge and practical application. The curriculum is designed to bridge the gap between academics and clinical practice , ensuring we are well prepared for both advanced studies and professional roles. Its focus on patient centres care, evidence-based practice and critical desicion Making aligns perfectly with my intrest in cardiology and my aspiration to pursue a pharmacy residency in the USA

Fees and Financial Aid

I pursued 6 - year Pharm D at my College and I paid an annual course fee of Rs.65,000.This was the standard fee for the students who secured admission through AP EAMCET Counseling process.Since ,my mother is a government employee, I was not eligible for fee reimbursement scheme offered by the government,So I paid full course fee every year. For students who qualified for fee reimbursement ,the government covered a portion of their tution fees, but still they said to pay the remaining balance as specified by the college. On the other hand students admitted through management quota has to pay much higher fees, starting from 2 to 2.5 Lakh annually. In addition to the tution fees, there were additional academic examination fees.In the first year I paid Rs.4000 and this amount varies in subsequent years based on university guidelines, these costs are separate from the annual tution fees.

Campus Life

5

The college's infrastructure was a great experience I had ever had ,the environment was so quiet and peaceful with full of trees and pleasant ambience. Our college has various committees like Sports and culturals committee,NSS cell ,Women's grievance cell and social media cell, placement cell,Anti Ragging committee, Scientific cell ,still many more .I actively participated as socialmediacell coordinator and organised the promotion of programmes conducted in the college and spreading the activities of college through the social media platforms. The college has conducted many extra cultural activities and offered many activities with great support from the Management and faculties.

Admission

The reason why I choose this college was because of the quality of education and expertised faculty in our locality. Our house is nearly 15kn away from the Vijayawada city .Near our locality there is no such quality and perfect college to choose .So I kept first choice in the counselling program with Nirmala College of Pharmacy, Mangalagiri. After two choices were near to our home .But I myself have intrest in joining the nirmala College which is of 30km away from our house .By the gods grace I got seat in the nirmala College. From the first year I been travelling to college daily of 60km up and down .I submitted all my transcripts and Education certifications in the administrative office and got completed my admission process.I choose this college out of all I applied because I really intrested in joining in the Nirmala College because of its accreditation and Quality of the college with great peaceful ambience .

Faculty

5

Our college has an excellent faculty-to-student ratio, ensuring personalized attention and guidance. The faculty members are highly experienced and knowledgeable, fostering a friendly and approachable relationship with students. They explain concepts clearly, help with doubts and provide support for both academic success and person wellbeing. If students feel unwell or uncomfortable, the faculty is always understanding and accomodating. The exams were well-structured and reasonably easy if prepared for, with a very low failure rate. The circulum is highly relevant, equipping student with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.Overall, our faculty's commitment and the supportive environment make it great place for learning and growth.

Night Life

5

The college has Gym and cafeteria, after the classes all the students come and get realx in the cafeteria and gym is equipped with required equipments . College life is blend of endless activities and precious moments. From cafeterias filled with laughter conversations to quiet libraries where knowledge thrives, each space adds an unique vive to our daily grind. The gym is where sweat meets determination ,while public areas became the hub for relaxation.Mostly we were enjoyed evening times rather than night times But one day ,with my friends we went for a restaurant for dinner and enjoyed a lot with the funny stuff and crazy peanky jokes????that day I thought as it is my most funnier night ever .

The specific aspects of the curriculum that influenced me most is the course provide me with the doctorate as it is a 6 year course it help me to learn new things in medicine. We also visit hospital ward for rounds which helps us to prepare for real world application. The teachers should improve learning ways to shift to board method and the exams would be only once a month. The timings of exam should be increased so that the difficulty level can be reached
