MY EXPERIENCE AT JECRC UNIVERSITY

i have always been amazed by computers ever since i was a kid and i also have a knack for problem solving. in btech cse i can solve problems on computers this is why i choose to pursue engineering in computer science the curriculum prepares a student pretty well for the real world applications. as i wrote earlier cruicial things like communication skills is also added in our syllabus. colleges also supports us to get internship as a student which gives us exposure to real world of the industry. the curriculum could be improved if more computer science lab are added to our schedule. there are only 2 of them per week.the teaching methods which is used is pretty good. the first exam is after 2 months from the start of the semster then after 2 months another mid sem and after 1 month of the second exams , end sem exams occur. first 2 exams of the semester are of 75 min per subject and the last exam is of 3 hours . the difficulty of the exams are average, not too difficult but not too easy either.

There are many companies like amazon , deolitte , cisco etc which give paid internship to students in jecrc university. avg stipend is rs 20 - 60k per month . jecrc university was ranked 15th out of 515 participating colleges across indiafor internships by internshala

the students are eligible for campus placements from the start of final year. big companies like microsoft,amazon and oracle and others visit our campus . average package was around 7lpa. the number of placements were 1468 . the highest package offered was 51lpa by microsoft. my plans after getting the degree is getting into a big tech company like microsoft and amazon

The year wise fee to be paid for a btech cse core pursuing student is 220000 per year. There is no scholarships as per the category Scholarships are available on merit basis. There is a 20% scholarship for students getting 85%+ in board exams or 90+ percentile in jee mains. There is a 15% scholarship for students getting marks greater than equal to 75% and less than 85 percentage in board exams or percentile between 85-90 in jee mains. These scholarships are only valid till first year. If anyone wants to continue this scholarship, thier attendance in each subject should be more than 75% and they should atleast have 8.0 if a student fails to do it their scholarship will be cancelled.

there are many fests organized , after the starting of the year after 2-3 months freshers party is announced . 1-2 weeks later a technical event organized by innov8 takes place . rythym , a cultural fest is later organized in the year at any time vast range of books and journals from fiction to non fiction . from academic to non academic , every kind of book is available to us in the library there are cameras in each classroom and also smart board in some classrooms. sports facilities are also provided and tournaments are also organized in the campus and outside the campus. most of the social groups and clubs are runned by student bodies. they have to be present in programs related to their clubs but the study loss occured can be covered easily later on.

my first choice for the college was sgsits indore which is the best state government college of madhya pradesh. i was accepted in the college but didnt get my preffered branch of engineering(computer science) that is why i didnt went to sgsits. I chose this college because of the average package of cse department,extra curricualrs of the college and campus of the college is also pretty beautiful. the admission process of jecrc university was simple. the eligibility of jecrc university was 60+% in board exams which i cleared. i just filled the form of jecrc university and paid the fees then my admission process was complete.

student to faculty ratio is pretty decent . it is like 60:1.the faculties are really approachable you any student can ask doubts in class without hesitation i personally liked our chemistry faculty and mathematics faculty. name of chemistry teacher is prof.sonu pareek , while teaching she makes sure that every student is understanding what she is teaching in the classroom and she provides in depth knowledge of the subject. our mathematics faculty prof.G.S Paliwal is also a great teacher he covers every topic in depth and his way of teaching mathematics is too good. i actually find our computer science pretty difficult . she sometimes insult students in a funny way when any genuine thing is asked, her name is prof.kriti but she teaches the subject wonderfully. there are 3 exams per semester. the level of exams are pretty decent not too difficult but not too easy either . if a student has studied he will definitely score good in exams. the numer of student failing an exam is also average . 5-10% of the student fails in examination. the curriculum is very relevent for engineering. Communications skills is also taught to us because that will help in interviews
