Course Curriculum Overview

4

Who don't want to wear a surgical gown and a cap, and don't want a doctor before their names. So this is main reason I pursued this course. College helps in conducting camps and training activities to train students and they also gets to perform certain things in hospital during their internship periods. But some parts can be better like they should have given more exposure of patients in pre final and final year.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internship is done only in the hospital affiliated to the college which is DBH. It consists of one year internship where u get 15 days leave. Stipend for this is 21k per month. And it's increasing. Internship here is great as there is medium patient load u can learn here and prepare for ur pg exams side by side.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees in gmc churu is paid by three categories of students, one is which are from government quota other one is management quota and last one is NRI. Fees for complete course- Govt.- 4.76 lac Management- 32.14 lac NRI- 78 lac This fees includes tuition fees, hostel fees(for double room), sports and academics fees. Mess charges are separate and around 3-4K per month. College also scholarship programs for students who's parents aren't in govt job and it comes in a merit basis. Scholars get max upto 80% of their fees paid.

Campus Life

4

Social life in college is good per se. There are annual feats conducted by the name of 'astron'. It includes sports and culture activities. And other than this festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi is also celebrated. Dandiya nights are held. And time to time other sports activities like cricket matches badminton matches are also held. About library the accessibility to books is great. U can get every book related to your course. There's student union which is elected by students for student welfare.

Hostel Facilities

4

Rooms are very spacious and in good quality. They are painted white and well floored. They provide 2 big sized almirahs. Two fans. And big windows and a balcony. The room is well lit. Washrooms are common on a floor and student to washroom ratio is 6:1. There's a single mess here. I personally don't enjoy the food here but there's tiffin services also which u can get at an affordable price. Mess charges are 3-4K which includes breakfast lunch and dinner. Registration for hostel is simple and done during the admission process itself. And it's pretty affordable to be in hostel than pg or rented rooms.

Admission

I applied to this college because it's near my hometown and the few colleges I applied for , I didn't get admission as they have high cutoff. Admission process for this college is very easy going. U just have to bring your listed documents they got verified and then you'll be sent for medical examination which is a simple process of around 2 hours. That's it!

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is 1:10 around and faculties are great, easily approachable and really helpful. Some of them aren't that persuasive but overall it's good with faculties. Psm dept like any other college is little dangerous. And about exams their are usually 2-3 semesters in each year and exams aren't that hard to clear but students also fail. Average of a 8 fails in every semester.

After internship,we can join a hospital as mbbs doctor or we can opt for examination like NEET pg or UPSC CMS or M.O. Highest package is 1-2 lakhs per month Lowest package is 50000 per month Percentage of students getting placement -80% My plan is to qualify neet pg and get a high ranked course .
