What Students Say
Likes
- I really liked the faculty of psmc and to be honest it's much better than any other private colleges moreover the events and all also appear much frequently.
- The campus here is really big and has a really good flora and fauna. One can easily roam around and to get fresh air and get positive vibes.. one can easily observe certain birds like peacock, peahen, cuckoos, parrots, monkeys and all varieties..
- Another thing that it is very safe for girls.. this every year almost the same amount or more amount of girls get addmission. The hostel facility for them is also good and independence is also given. There are as such not much strict restrictions.
Dislikes
- Not taking frequent tests or exams which results into easy forgetfulness. And this can be improved by adding tests to the academic activities. Extracurricular activities are much less.. the ground is provided for sports activities but is not used
- Even though the mess food is better than any other colleges but it is not something one is found of. There is increased quantity of spices and oil, which does cause problems.. some have experienced tonsillitis, food poisoning, decreased weight, etc.
- Classrooms are not that good condition, but are manageable, the class room benches appear old and marked, but are quite stable, other facilities are much better than the classroom bench, board, and other stuff itself
Course Curriculum Overview
I was personally very interested about the human body it's structure and functioning which is very well related and taught here. It's very amusing experience performing practical and all other stuff. A few teachers do teach us how to apply our theroy well in the clinical application in first year but as we go on we get special bridge course for this purpose. It is quite helpful and teaches how to interact with patients and all. The area to be improved for course curriculum is teachers should move on to newer methods of teaching with diagrams flowchart ppts and all.. they should take a small short quiz or test after class so students pay attention more to class. Timmings should be maintained for class as the classes after lunch are like sedatives and person can easily dose off.. Frequency of the exams are just enough and the timmings should be probably fixed to day time instead of mornings. Test instead should be taken more frequently. The difficulty level as per me is quite alright and to be honest it is quite easy.
Fees and Financial Aid
I'm in general quota (ews) student.. yearly se pay 8,70,000 for college tution and 80,000 for old hostel... 50,000 for hostel and 30,000 for mess so total 80,000 rupees I must specify for freshers they take 20,000 deposit at first for hostel and mess facilities... For management quota it is 16,00,000 rupees.. for tution fee and the rest is same.. i guess our mess food is not the best but it is better than other medical College hostels... For sc and st there are certain government schemes like freeship card and other stuff which pays all of their fees.. in st it is directly paied to university and in sc it appears in students bank account and is then paied to university by the student... For general category (including obc, ews, general) there is a scheme under mysy for boys it provides 2,00,000 per year plus 12,000 for hostel fees 2,000 for books purchase Girls also recieves the same ammount except for extra 4,00,000 rupees in kaniya kenanvi yojana.. Additional fees required: For library.. they requisite another sum of rupees 9,500 for freshers 1,000 for all other year.. 10,000 admission fees 6,000 university exam fees 550 for journals This all are to be given appart from college fees. For freshers there are some other fees also like thalassemia test and other stuff.. it's minimal amount Other than that freshers have to also purchase lab coats, books, boneset and other stuff.. this all information is only for ug students.. not for any other.. ::Let me summarise:: Fees:: 8,70,000 -> general quota 16,00,00 -> manegement quota Scholarships available:: Mysy (for boys and girls all category) Kaniya kenanvi (for girls all category) Freeship card( for boys and girls, sc and st category only) For mysy : Annual family income must be less than 6,00,000 rupees Percentile in 12 board must be more than 80% It is quite expensive for those who aren't receiving any scholarship.. and we do have such students too.. Shops in campus are expensive but other are ntside

All the festival are to be celebrated here in our campus. Even other sports festivals and other such festivals such as horizon and other stuff are also celebrated here. Hostel Facilities
There are two types of hostels available here old hostel and new hostel the fees are mentioned below: Old hostel-> ?80,000/yr New hostel-> ?1,15,000/yr Old hostel is provided with 4 beds for 4 roomates per room, the rooms are quite small for 4 people to share in but it is manageable, there are personal table and chairs also provided with one common table also, bathrooms are common for several rooms. The bathrooms are 4 in 7-8 rooms and 6 toilets in the same. Bathrooms are quite old but are functional and hygienic. As per new hostel it is quite expensive but good, ac rooms are provided, with attached bathrooms, and it is quite spacious and to be shared with 2 more people (3 in total). The cupboard are also big and more spacious. It's quite good. Mess food are same for both hostel people. Mess food is average. Better than any other medical college but still not good enough to eat everyday. It's is tolerable. The food here is quite spicy and oil is a lot more than it should be.. still edible.. it can be relied on for some time. there are two menus that interchange change every week. Registeration process is quite easy and fast. Guidance is provided by the people here. Warden ma'am is also good and kind. Affordability.. it's expensive as per government colleges and semi government colleges but is good enough for private colleges. There are a few houses and flats on rent nearby such as shashwat banglows, flats.. and even Pratibha hostel for girls.. which are not usually prefered.. as of now I'm not staying at any of these
Admission
I applied to many other private colleges such as Kiran medical College, bharuch, Banas medical College, palanpur and many other colleges where I could get in easily but i didn't choose them over this because I heard that this college is much more organised with great faculty which weren't there.. plus the area is safe for girls. Thus i choose Pramukh Swami over other colleges. All other private medical colleges like nhl, ahmedabad, simmer,Surat, C.U.Shah, surendranagar.. i didn't get into them as my score was low in neet exam
Faculty
The faculty to students ratio is also quite good approx 1:10 in most of the departments. Faculty here is quite approachable and a few teachers are very friendly, even the residents are friendly, they'll all help and guide you in a good way. Discipline is required in every class.. every department is easily accessible. Since I have only passed first year till now, it would be hemal sir from physiology department, he teaches explaining things in flowchart providing diagram. It's easy to understand and just enough to remember nothing difficult and useless. From anantomy department Pooja ma'am teaches very well, apparently she's quite friendly and very easily approachable, she explains everything other From biochem department Purva ma'am, she's a resident there and teaches very well she provides everything easily.. straight to the point, she's good besides other staff are also good.. like dharmik sir, harsh sir, etc Personal i don't prefer being tied upon with so many rules and thus i usually don't like teachers who don't provide much freedom, I don't think it's right to mention names. A very few teachers who are like this but it is torealable. -There are in total 4 (7) exams: ( 7 for those who fail certain exams) 1. Internal - 1 2. Internal -2 3. Prelims (4) Remid (5) Reremid 6. University (7) Supplementary It's is quite common for medical students to fail in their college as the competition increases a lot and marks are also not given that frequently. There is no consequence if someone fails internal 1 and 2 but if you fail in prelims and internal is not enough you have to give extra Remid and if you fail university you have to As copared to other medical college we do get easily marks. Though this many students had to give supplementary exam this year. 26 out of 150 students failed This year from our batch. The ratio is usually low. It doesn't matter that much. The supply students usually passes very quickly and they're then added back to their batches. The
