Campus is very big and well managed and it have separate building for every single course
Beautiful campus with average amount of fees
Decent girls to boys ratio good hostel life

Dislikes

Shortages or teacher in every courses and lot of unnecessary writing records
Very bad wifi in college we dont get any wifi in hostel the wifi is very slow and we dont get 5g network there only 4g with very poor network
College always wants ur money you have to pay fine for everything they take 3000 for eod per subject and very poor placement offering

Course Curriculum Overview

As an average student, every student's first preference is cse i am also one of those students due to its higher demand we all choose that but nowadays. there are a lot of cse engineers due to which competition is so high we have to struggle for it overall, it a good stream but for those who have an interest in this line

Placement Experience

Placement is very poor in our college very average company offers placements in our college with very low packages like 3-4lpa so it is better for off-campus placement every student in our college opts for that only

Fees and Financial Aid

Per year its course is free for btech cse is 1,57,000 and it has a merit type scholarship if you score more than 70 percent in your 12 then you will get 10 per cent discount and if you more than 80% you score then 20%.

Campus Life

Campus life is good mess food is very poor hostel life is average over all campus life is good we dont have that much programs like other colleges but its a big campus u can explore it they have good cafeteria u can go and enjoy

Hostel Facilities

Hostel building is good clean everday cleaning stafs come bathroom is neat and clean overall hostel is decent but mess food is very poor tasteless for and u will find different insect in those food items

Hostel Fee: INR 90000 per year

Admission

Before this college, I was intrested in our state govt colleges but I did not get the stream I wanted if I got the stream I didn't get the college I wanted then I opted for private colleges I got several names in my mind like Iter kiit silicon trident etc but they were quite expensive than this college and they are almost same so I choose this.

Faculty

There is very sortages of faculty member student and faculty ration will be very low same faculty is teaching differentl subjects but they teach good they pay attention to each and every students but all teacher is not like that we cant compare still according to us if we understand the teacher is good and if we cant then the teacher is bad but you have to study on your own thats for sure

I don't like 75% attendance and the strictness of the faculty members

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

Likes

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

The college campus greenery and campus cleaning management are doing really very well that is the only good part but that doesn't matter much for your career.
⭐⭐There is nothing good to mention about this college after going through all the procedures from taking admission to degree,I regret and many of my friends also regretting taking admission into this college.⭐⭐

Dislikes

They have a good well maintained cricket ground but students are never allowed there only for commercial purposes and to attract new joinee.
Staff and management are very helpful and polite only till admission done.🥲.
Hostel food quality is extremely unhigenic, no one takes responsibility after many complaints also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

Likes

Beautiful campus with lot's of space and with good computer labs
They conduct exam in very smoothly manner

Dislikes

Need to improve administrative building while submitting fees many students face problem
Lab session of some subjects are too long which is around 3 hrs which need to reduce for atleast 2 hrs

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The college has an active placement celll that supports students by Organizing training sessions, resume building and also mock interviews.

Have collabs with IBM, Samsung, Capgemini for RnD and NUS singapore , University of North Texas
Our college has hosted International Conferences like IEEE InGAARS 2025and Indocrypt 2025, where scientists had came from NASA, ISRO, all IITs, Foreign Universities, etc
Exposure is Good. The teachers here put efforts to teach and research. Unlike other colleges where teachers comes and roll out PPTs, here every teacher teaches on Board explaining everything properly

Dislikes

Few teachers speak in Odia accent, so it takes couple weeks to adjust
Campus is kind of small (36acres), but its good area for a IIIT, considering IIIT delhi is just 25 acres
3 occupancy hostels for 1st years (same goes for any other NIT/IIIT), but they have a option of single rooms from 2nd year

Placement Experience:

from 6th sem, students are eligible almost 100 companies visited including IBM, VISA, Infosys, DE Shaw etc. Highest is 63 LPA and avg is 12-13LPA 90% placements I may consider doing MBA if I dont get very big package

From sixth semester you are eligible for campus placement. Companies visited are Tata power, Adani, OPTCL and others.The highest package for electrical engineering is 10 lacs. 60percent marks is required for getting placement.

Likes

Things I like is to good faculty, garden.
VSSUT provides the best amenities and bathrooms.
Excluding hostel & other facilities are like good.

Dislikes

The water quality is not good at all from mess side.
The drainage system is not maintained well.
The surroundings are not clean and the guarda are strict.

Placement Experience:

Some say that the celllege has better placements, but that the salary is not very lucrative. Infosys, Tata Steel, IBM, Wipro, Cisco Systems, Larsen and Cognizant, Maruti Suzuki, Adani Group. My plans are to go to better iim for mba

The professor who taught in our class they are taught is best In teaching.
They provide you many opportunities to work upon on you.
The infrastructure of college is good and huge.

Dislikes

The campus is very vast, and you have to walk for every minute of work.
The are very serious about your study and what you are doing
The gate get closed if you get came late even it's 5-10 minute late.

Placement Experience:

It's good as many company come but the placement directly depend on your study and hard work of your 4 year and a pre placement also conduct in 3rd year where you can also get placed. For placement the student should secure 8-10 cgpa for sit in interview exam.

Glimpse of Centurion university - shaping the future

To be very precise i didn't go for any other private college this was my 1st and last choice of selection because of the fee structure which is under my budget and in Odisha only 2 to 4 colleges do provide this course but sadly i have to mention that from 2024 they have stopped this course along with emergency medical technology and operation theatre technology due to lack of students in the field.
