Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course is the curriculum is designed that way to ensure the student learns new technologies and adapt to modern things. The curriculum prepares us for real world applications as they partnered with google coursera and providing access (paid) to new, technical courses to the students. The only improvement needed is faculty members should also teach real world applications of the course rather than sticking to old technologies in books. The exams are frequent and the difficulty level is moderate that tests and fits to all types of students.

Placement Experience

3.5

Now a days placements in all colleges have reduced a lot due to recession, like so our college also. Companies like tcs, cognizant, capegemini etc visited our campus recently and the number of students placed is not disclosed yet. They are giving training from third year and conducting tests to evaluate student's academics and knowledge. The percentage of students placed every year is almost 55% as per previous stats. Highest package offered is 60LPA in google last year. My plan is to prepare for gate exam to get job in PSUs.

Fees and Financial Aid

I belong to Management quota. Here is the structure of tuition fees and all other fees for my batch i.e., 2022-2026 is as follows: 1. Tuition fee : Rs.1,50,000/yr 2. Career development fee: Rs.15,000/yr 3. Coursera fee (online classes): Rs.3,500/sem 4. Exam fee: Rs.2,500/sem 5. Afternoon lunch fee (For day scholars and students staying at pg hostels): Rs.20000/yr The tuition fee from AY 2023 is increased. Kindly check it.

Campus Life

3.5

Overall experience with campus is good. Every year a big 3 day cultural fest Mohana mantra is conducted in the month of October and Annual day is celebrated in march as the birthday of our chairman Dr. M. Mohan babu. Other than this there will be events, quizzes etc conducted by student-run club every week. It is a good thing to encourage and support students to run student portals and clubs where we learn to organize and lead the team and new things etc. We also have sports and extra curricular activities held at college and out if the campus also. The class rooms are equipped with projectors and digital smart boards as well. The central library is equipped with large collection of books and journals which is a good thing.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Every first and second year students should stay at college hostel and its mandatory unless if you submit proofs that you are a localite. There are two categories of hostels offered by college management. Those are named as Valmar A and Valmar B. The facilities provided in Valmar A are excellent as it is quite expensive (ranges from 1lakh to 1.6 lakh) whereas Valmar B category hostels are outside buildings maintained by college where facilities are less and its less expensive (80k to 90k) when compared with Valmar A. Food is same for all and its not good. It doesn't have taste or quality. Students from all geographical areas don't like the taste of food. Its not worth the price. Even if you join pg, it won't make any difference as college management is charging Rs.20k per year as lunch fee for day scholars and every non hostler has to pay it, additionally college management is charging Rs.15k per student from pg owners which is impacted on pg fees. Overall its not like other colleges.

Admission

I have chosen only this college as its a private university and not opted any other colleges. Because its a private university and it offers flexibility in enrollment of subjects and courses. When compared to other colleges it also encourage students in other aspects than education by promoting individual, technical and non technical clubs etc. The admission process is very simple. We just have to contact university office and provide all certificates and pay some fees, thats all.

Faculty

3.5

Overall experience with faculty is good but not best. They are easily approachable. Some of the faculty members have good knowledge but rest of them were not up to the mark. Some of them only teach for exam purpose only. They only see grades of the students but not his depth of knowledge in the subjects. I have seen Faculty members like Mr. M.V. Naresh, Dr. Yasmine begum, Dr. M. Balaji, who have good knowledge in subject and encourage students. Some staff members like Mr. Arun kumar only play ppt presentations instead of teaching properly. We have 2 mid term exams and 1 semester regular examinations per each semester. Difficulty of the examinations are moderate. There will be one supplementary exam for each failed subject and if you still fail, then you have to re-register that subject by paying Rs.7,500 and again appear for classes, exams etc.

Placement Experience:

Placements in my college are fair and show slow growth each year. The placement cell gives train for apti, group talk, and mock test. Some good firms visit, but high pay roles are less. Many students get placed with avg pay. For those not placed, college gives skill train and guide for off campus jobs. Some plan for higher study or exams. Overall, college gives base, but self work is also key for job. The companies that come in our college is tata, wipro, infosys, deloitte, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is fairly relevant and covers core concepts that align with industry basics, which influenced my choice. It prepares reasonably well for jobs/higher studies but lacks depth in emerging areas. Exams (2–3 internals + final) are moderate. Needs more practical exposure, updated content, and project-based learning.
