Khalsa College, My best choice

The curriculum designed for first semester is beginner level, related to 11-12 class commerce stream syllabus. There are developmental subjects also in course Legal literacy and Drug abuse The curriculum for commerce alone is industry applicable and oriented to practical use.

There are online and offline internships offered in different organisations. They offer paid as well as voluntary internship for the development of the students. Industry visits are organised to develop students industry applicable.

From 5th semester Students are offered placements and internships in companies. Every year placements are increasing. Overall placements account to 55-60% (including internships) in commerce department alone. The companies offered are reputed and large.

The annual fees is as per year of degree. Year 1: 58000 Year 2: 55000 Year 3: 56000 The fees includes all fixed charges... No other charges are applicable to students. The fees of SC and OBC students is less (somewhere around 25-30%) Scholarship benefits are available to students Widely applied is Punjab scholarship

There are different events taking place every week in different departments. There are seminars almost everyday for students regarding different fields. However the famous ones in the whole town happen annually such as comm fest, youth fest. The whole college comes to visit such events

The khalsa college is the biggest and one of the best college in Punjab. It's the number one autonomous college in Punjab. It being in my hometown, i was definitely choosing it. However being compared to others available I'd still choose it

Bcom alone has admitted 500 students this year. Faculties are being recruited as per the requirement but indeed the present ones are very experienced mostly PhD holders and they are always teaching in the easiest language. They even welcome students willing to learn after lectures. The course is followed as per GNDU Exams are held in the end of semester however MidSemTest happen to mark the performance of students. Course curriculum is easy, no difficulties till now Department is equipped with its own library
